That was my first thought too! I love Danie's more vintage version, but the original may as well be an Etsy print in an IKEA frame. Absolutely nothing wrong with that of course (I have several pieces that are exactly this) but not at that price tag.

I lost my mind at that price tag. I was thinking it through like… I could allow for like maybe $250-300 taking labor and tool costs into account and still making a profit but oNe ThOuSaNd DoLlArS????

Totally agree. It was much more like something you might serendipitously find in an old abandoned office (e.g. telegraph) rather than something you buy new like the Magnolia one.

Hi Danie, I was just thinking that it might be funny if you make a video where you build the same DIY once without power tools and once with just power tools. I think the video could give a great insight into when power tools can be a time saver and when they really aren't necessary at all. Wanted to share the thought with you. Either way, thank you for your great content!

I hate how expensive these stores are. I would rather thrift for my decor anyway and anything I don't thrift, I tend to buy from Target, Amazon or Etsy. I also love to support small businesses in my area, little mom and pop shops that have tons of cool stuff. There's also some incredible antique malls near me in Fort Worth that are amazing. I could spend all day there!!

LOVE the Morse Code board. I think the spacing actually adds to the antique look. A suggestion for the drink stand; one of those little marble round cheese plates that Cost Plus/World Market sells would make a good top, maybe glued to a wood disk so you had something to easily attach the leg to.

Pain is just to bad to do things but I love watching you make things. My sister asked me “Doesn’t it depress you?” But I said “NO!” Just because I can’t do it doesn’t mean I’m incapable, I know I could IF I wasn’t in this much pain. So I’ll get back to it in paradise! I’m getting all these great ideas for then. 😹😹😹 Thanks again! 💝🥰🤗

This is VERY cool! I was in the USAF and was in communications. When I was in my 20s I could rattle off those phonetics so fast. I’m 67 and I still can do that, even though I don’t use it at all. My Grandfather always wanted us to learn Morse Code but we never did. But if I had that I would probably know it pretty fast! It’s quite cool!

When removing stickers, try hitting it with a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive. Makes it easier to peel them off

I loved them all. They all turned out amazing. However, my favorite is the drink table. It's not too big and it's so cute. It's still a dupe!

Another candle tip Dollar General stores have really cute amber glass, jar candles in scents like “antique leather” “black sand” “setting sun” and “vanilla honey” and the jars have a black metal twist on lid so after your candle is done you can clean out the jar and have an amber glass jar with a cute lid and it’s only like $7 us … they also have soy candles for about the same price with wood lids and clear glass jars and they are a cute bubble triangular shape and about the same price $7-8 us

Use a hairdryer to take the stickers off. Just a little heat does the trick. They peel off so easily after that! ❤

I loved all these projects but I think the phonetic alphabet is my favorite. My dad used to quiz us on it on long car rides so I have a big fondness for it and want to try and make one for my living room. Might finally give me the push to get a cricket too 😂

You are wise. I never remember to get the shop vac until after I sand. Then I leave a trail of debris (coming and going) going to get it. 🤦🏼‍♀️
