If you want really looking nice flames. heres the trick that i got while doing my fire elementals. put a glob of hotglue let it sit fr a few seconds. not enoguh for it to cure but enough for it to start being solid. then poke it with tooth pick. it will pull the glue up and its gonna be really random while still having kinda of a way of choosing which direction the flames goes. i really should be showing up those elementals to give you an idea of what i mean. but seriously. try that its an awesome way of getting flames. and if the thing becomes too big you can just snip the hot glue. i think this would make the flame of your camp fire much better while maybe make some on the logs as well.

Hey Scotty, Thanks for your awesome tutorial. I have one burning (pun intended) question for you or anyone on this channel. Any tips on how can you paint/ make a desert dungeon or environment with broken buildings/arches and all. What colors would the ruin walls be? Whenever I use grey for ruins the yellow sand just makes it looks so fake and unnatural. Would love to hear or see some examples if anyone knows some!

If you are having trouble finding suitable tea lights for the fire … you can make them using the most DM Scotty solution I think I've ever heard anywhere! Pick up some Amazon ASIN B0785DQ8FD (Scotty, please feel free to set these up with an affiliate link that helps your channel…), a couple of round 25mm bases, and some CR2032 lithium batteries. The LEDs come with resistors for use at 12v. You don't need them*. Trust me, giving an electronics nerd a baggie of 470 ohm resistors is like handing Scotty a couple of fresh hot glue sticks! Now look at the LED: It has two leads coming off it, and they're close together. You wanna bend them outward away from each other, then down, to basically make them wide enough you could fit the battery between them. Now take your mini base and a tiny drill bit and put holes in it for the LED's leads to fit through. Bend one down flat (the shorter one if you know which is which) and the other out just a little further. You're basically turning the base into a battery holder/tea light bottom with NO switch. You may need to snip the leads a little shorter at this point. You should be able to put the battery into the mini base so that one lead touches the button (-) side, and other touches the flat (+) side. If the LED doesn't light up, turn the battery around the other direction. LEDs only work one way. I don't know who first suggested putting a couple of holes in a 25mm base to hold the leads. That was clever thinking! Fat Dragon made a 3D print model with holes to run the leads, but probably a lot of us have bases and a tiny drill bit, if not a whole set of them and a pin vise to make turning them pretty easy. * Technically you ARE overdriving these LEDs at 3v, but that means they won't survive 30 years … Maybe only 15 before you have to replace them? *shrug*
