Too cute, Janelle! I always appreciate how your tutorials are thorough yet easy to understand. Also, that burnt orange colored fabric really suits you. Anywho, thanks again!

Thank you so much! I love making these tutorials 😄 Also, burnt orange is my favourite so it’s nice to know it suits me!
I just made this top along with the gathered midi skirt you posted in another video. Both turned out great. I'm a self-taught beginner, and the shirt was simple even for me. Now I feel so accomplished! Thank you!
My parents found my baby curtains in the loft today, and I've decided to make a top and matching skirt with them ready to go out with my friend tomorrow, and this is the exact top I want, so perfect!

Just made this top and I think everyone should too! Absolutely over the moon! Amazing instructions and so easy to follow. Thank you so much! This was the first clothing piece I've ever made and now I'm cutting up some fabric to tackle your dress tutorial :D
Wow Rose! Outcome is so pretty! And the choice of fabric and colour is so apt. I'm surely going to make it.🌻
I just started sewing and this is my first non-bag/ scrunchie item I’ve made! Thank you :)
Beautiful job Janell!
I just finished sewing a 2 piece costume with this top and a skirt. It was the first clothing piece for me to sew but the amazing instructions made everything so so clear. I thank you very very much! I love it a lot! And also a big thanks for including HOW to create our own sewing pattern with your own measurements. It is a great help for bigger busted people.

I’ve watched this although I’m passed the age of crop tops (turned 45 today - 1st of Feb). I just love your videos. One thing I’d like to mention is that I would describe 1 cm as 3/8 of an inch. 1.5 cm as 5/8 of an inch. I’m Spanish but live in England and have a 1960s sewing machine and it comes in inches 😊

Happy birthday lovely! I don’t think I’ll ever get the hang of inches, but at least I’m trying! 😂
@mnoeliarc
4 жыл бұрын
Rosery Apparel I can’t see the point of them to be honest 😂 cm is so much easier as they’re divided by 100. But I’m a midwife in the UK and although people have been taught the metric system for years I had to get used to convert heights and weights from metric to imperial. Plus my sewing machine plate is in inches so I know seam allowances using inches in that way. I think it’s nice you’ve started converting cm to inches for those viewers that use them. I hope you don’t mind me pointing out the inches in that way x
It super adorable

That'S CUTE TOP
Beautiful! How you obtained the measurement for the straps? Saludos desde Puerto Rico
I love this tutorial and I’ve made it twice now, but both times the top seems to balloon out way too much on the sides and I end up trying to take it in with not a whole lot of luck. Are the 60 added centimeters absolutely necessary to the top? Thinking of trying it with maybe only 30 next time because it just seems like so much extra fabric. Either way I still love this too and thank you so much for showing us how!
i love the dress you r wearing, can you give us a link for it?
You are the best
This is such a good tutorial!! Can you please make the same one but with puffy sleeves?

Ooh I love that idea!! 😍
awesome.
hello janelle ...im planning on doing this top for my cousin as a gift with a matching cute little dress for her new born and i was wondering how can we add a ruffle on the bottom edge on this top ! i want to conserve the elastic edge so should i just take a larger rectangle and do the elastic casing as you did and leeve a 10 cm for example to creat the ruffles ? or should i do the exact same thing you did and encorporate a gathered ruffle on the bottom? what do you suggest
Its very nice.. 👌👌 I will try it for my lil one 👍 Am your new subscriber

How long would you make it if you want it to be regular length "
Hola desde México 😊
Jannelle, did you make the skirt you were wearing at the very beginning of the video?
@RoseryApparel
4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did 😄 Tutorial coming very soon!!
Great 💜
hii! this is so cute! i just have a question, how to know the length of strap?
can you add an additional sleeves to it after?
I’m fairly new to sewing, advanced beginner maybe. And I would love to make this top out of a fabric scrap I made culottes of. But that fabric is a bit itchy and I was wondering if I were to line it, how would I do it? I was thinking of cutting everything out of both fabrics and then instead of turning and hemming I’d sew the pieces together, turning it right sides out and then sew tunnels for the elastic. And put the elastic in on the side of the lining/fabric seam instead of the tunnel seam. Does that make sense? Is there an easier way? Is it better to line it with stretchy fabric in the size of the finished garment?
hey! if i wanted to make a finish that was less gathered, how would i go about adjsuting the measurements and scale? thank you!
oh thanks vry much madam
What about the black and white dress you have on? Did you make that too?
where can I get that elastic?
