GENERAL CUT LIST
Vertical Wall Rack Beams (2) 4”x4”x6’
Cross Pieces (4) 4”x4”x11”
Horizontal Wall Mounts (2) 2”x4”x46”
Bar Mount Blocks (4) 2”x4”x7”
Galvanized Piping for Bar Mount (4) ¾”x9”
TIPS
Using felt pads instead of caster wheels works just fine and is cheaper.
I recommend using simple hook gate latches instead of the touch catches I used in the video. The hooks are much cheaper, easier to install, and provide a more secure locked position. I switched them out about a month after this build and they work great.
When drilling the holes for the vertical beams, I used a 1-1/8" spade bit. This ended up being a little too snug. I recommend drilling your holes to be 1-1/4" if you use 3/4" piping for the bar mounts.
Instead of using Foundation Straps to secure the hinge braces, you can use the left-over 2x4 lumber (Appx: 5') and cut some right-angle triangles to secure the Wall Rack Beams. Use 3" screws to secure in place. Be sure to pre-drill your holes so the triangles don't split when screwing them in.
I hope this helps everyone!

I’ve watched a ton of these foldable racks, this is by far the best one!! Great info and clear instructions. I personally don’t have much space at all, just enough for a foldable rack and bench, so maybe for the next project adding a cable crossover to the rack? That would be super helpful 👍 great job, and great dogs 💪

Thanks Tom! I was actually thinking the same thing. Also working on a video for customizable weight plates, which should pair nicely with making an authentic-looking cable system that fits within the footprint of the foldable rack.
