DIY - Foldable Stool
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I remember such stool from my childhood. It is not my design. But I had nothing but my memory to recreate it and figure out dimensions. It was really enjoyable project so I am sharing it with you guys.
If you don't have time to watch the whole video skip to the 4th minute for plans and dimensions.

😂 love the bloopers. Can’t beat those new Bessey clamps either...one of my favs.
Love the design, made an outside table to use when doing a BBQ for the dishes ...etc. Nice & compact and remarkably sturdy, even when using 14mm thick wood (my leftovers from another job).
This is the best and most revealing video I've seen on this topic. Congratulations!

Thank you for this nice sharing. I tried to do the same. But wooden dowels squeak a lot. What could be the reason for this? How can I fix it?

I'm not sure, maybe something to do with the wood you used?

Tack sa mycket, I am sorry but I don't remember. I've made it over 2 years ago.
What keeps the dowels in after assembled? am I worried over nothing? Also - excellent build, and video.

Friction is all you need. No need to glue them in, however you could do it. Just remember dowel works as a hinge so it can only be glued to one of two boards it is connecting

@@RadeksWorkshop Valid suggestion 🤷♂️
Do those dowels become loose over time?
@RadeksWorkshop
2 жыл бұрын
They do contract and expand a bit twice a year as humidity changes but it doesn't affect the stool
