For this kind of flower, use thicker satin fabric, such as dull satin as i use in this video.
Tips :
1. Iron your fabric before soldering. It makes it look smoother.
2. Use fabric glue instead of hot glue if you want to make it as an applique to your blouse, dress etc. ( i usually use hot glue for hair clips and baby headband, for hand border dress/blouse/neckline, i sew onto them or use fabric glue. It last longer and doesn't fall out during wash.)
