❣DIY Fairy House Using Glass Bottles❣

Hi, in this video I use some old glass bottles to create a fairy house. I used jars and plastic bottles before and people asked if they can use glass bottles. So here is the creation process.
I started of course with gluing the bottles together using hot glue. I then added some pieces of pizza boxes cardboard to make the roofs. That's the basic shape. Next step is of course adding the first layer of paper clay. If you're new here, the clay I usually use is "Das modelling material" because it has dimensional stability when it dries, which means it doesn't shrink like a regular clay so it won't develop cracks around the bottles. I made one glass at a time because I needed to cut out the windows and add some details like stones and some wood beams while the paper clay was still wet. So some details have to be made in this stage and some details like roof tiles and window frames can be added after the clay is dry. Always be patient and work in small sections that you can manage. I used watercolors for painting and worked in layers, painting the base color of each element and adding shades after. A lot of you asked for longer videos so this time I edited the video in a different manner. I hope you like this approach. Let me know your thoughts in the video description

Dear CM, I’m going to answer your question which no one else seems to have done. Having binged several of your videos tonight, I think this format works very well. You start on an area in normal time to show your intention, then speed through the process where it’s repeated, for eg. the window sills. We don’t need to see the same treatment repeated over and over so this is fine. I can’t understand why folk don’t read the video descriptions as these are direct messages to the viewer from the creator - why wouldn’t anyone want to hear straight from you? BTW, I actually said, “Wow,” out loud when you added the beam over the front door! I’d say that for anyone like me who’s fascinated by miniaturisation, your videos are essential.
I always read your video descriptions! I have been following you faithfully since I discovered you. I have watched every video, and always wait in anticipation for the next. Your talent just blows me away! I would love to see you try a piece using more natural materials. Like pebbles, wood, sticks, moss, etc. You sculpt the clay to look so real, I think it would be so cool to see you use real items. You inspired me to make my first tiny fairy house!

Halo.....10 years old (1/2 American Bulldog, 1/4 Labrador & 1/4 Pitbull) Passed away 3 days ago from brain tumor/seizers. Most importantly he passed away in the comfort of his own home. My heart is shattered. I miss you big boy. You will forever be in my mind and in my heart ❤️ until we meet again, love your mommy.

You said in your description that you do one bottle at a time. How long does it take you to make one of these? I've got a couple clay castles out in my garden. My mom and my aunt made them and I love to see them peeking at me from behind my flowers.

Parece que es masilla epoxi, también se puede realizar con masa de papel, queda muy bueno.

The space left when the bottles were glued together. Since all the bottles were clear the lights were able to shine through unhindered.

There is a space between the four bottles where string lights fit nicely. But depends on the bottles you use

Сейчас - покупная DAS. Раньше Диана пользовалась своей самодельной глиной. Что-то до конца ее не устраивало, хотя масса была интересная. Я ее рецепт доработала и пользуюсь уже 2 года. Все мои домики из самодельной глины, даже в саду под открытым небом стоят. Обходится намного дешевле покупной и под рукой всегда.

@@tainakarjalainen277 Зря.)) Приготовление глины - не сложнее теста на пельмени. Да, и лепка не так уж сложна. Когда я начинала, умела лепить только шарик и колбаску. Но так влюбилась в домики Дианы, что решила попробовать. Главное - это может затянуть и остановиться уже не получится.))

Сказочный - это точно.)) Затягивает - не оторвешься. Я лепить вообще не умела, когда наткнулась на домики Творческой Мамы. Теперь уже, видимо, не остановлюсь никогда.) Попробуйте, это настоящее волшебство.

Every time I view one of your videos I am astonished by your creativity. I was first drawn in when you actually made your own clay materials out of egg cartons and white glue. At the time I was looking for ways to craft with recycled materials. Thank you for the details shown in your video, the information in your posts, and the encouragement for beginners like myself.
