Hey everybody! So I recently did this project in my gaming room, and I learned a few things which I will share with you. First and foremost, this project is expensive and very time consuming. The total cost for my room (11ftx11ft) came up to a bit over $200. It also took about 3 days to fully complete. As for the construction, the most important thing to take into consideration is that the duct tape will NOT hold up the poster board and clouds for more than a day. (My clouds collapsed from the ceiling after a day) In order to attach them to the ceiling, attach the poster boards to the ceiling like he does in the video, and THEN, you will have to hammer several nails into each poster board to keep them there. After that, you can attach your led strips and stuffing. (Just a tip: When you're spraying the glue, spray it on the BOARDS, NOT the stuffing itself. It will save you from making a huge mess. Lastly, 5lbs of stuffing was not enough for my room (11ft x 11ft). I would recommend 10lbs if your room is the same size, or just get a 20lb box if you want peace of mind. I would also recommend getting 3 rolls of duct tape and don't bother getting the packing tape, it doesn't really do much. Last thing, it took almost exactly 3 large cans of gorilla glue to complete and almost exactly 8 lbs of stuffing to fill my 11ft x 11ft room. Sorry for the long read, but those are all things that I didn't take into consideration that I wish I had. Happy crafting!

A suggestion though... Add $20 32' rgb Govee light set to the clouds to give a extra dynamic and make it look more natural looking. Like an ambient effect.

how much poster board did you use to cover the span of your ceiling? I have a smaller-ish room so I'd assume it's not much, but I was just curious!

Dollar stores, like Dollar Tree, frequently have posterboard too. I'm not sure how the price per square foot compares to Walmart, but it's usually a good place to look for cheap materials and expendable things. On the Dollar Tree site, they're showing 27.25x39.25 trifold presentation board to be $1.25/ea for 7.42 sq/ft. For a 11x14' bedroom (154 sq/ft), that would be 21 boards, costing $26.25. This is one of the times your grade school math will be useful. :)
What about dust accumulation? How to avoid that?
Thanks for video

I'm curious about that myself I haven't attempted it yet but I'm getting the stuff got half of it today getting the other half tomorrow but poster boards on the ceiling what's going to hold that? That's what I'm worried about. In I live on grd FLR@ apartment complex and the ppl above me have 10 kids and 1 adult. It sounds like there doing Goldbergs move power drive into the floor that's right above my ceiling and I thinking about what would hold it all up there. W/O falling ,!?!?!??
Instead of poster board, can I just roll out some paper and staple that up? My only concern is the staples pulling through the paper from the weight of the LEDs and poly
I want to do this so bad but it would be hard work to keep clean. 😢
Is this safe for walls?
The clouds keep falling off no matter how much glue I spray. What’s the secret to keeping them up there?
