This is where, I would definitely abort the ban on power tools! For the Arm rest ….. I would stack “one” more cinder block (except with the holes 🕳 facing ⬆️ UP) so you have BUILT In, Cup Holders. And the where the tools come in ….. then take some wood 🪵 (thin) and cap that cinder block off …. Only exposing the holes. Kind of like in a Cadillac or Mercedes, around the cup holders and and panel. Just a thought 💭

@@fabbynavarro5402 after reading some other comments, I realize that removing two of the blocks might make it a more reasonable height, and of course lower the weight quite a bit. In that case it's a lot better for some people to try to move, say 150 lb, instead of 210. Probably best to use a dolly If you have to move them. I also just watched a couple other videos where people made their own hand rests, covered in vinyl, that would be very nice too for the tops.

Nice home built cushions! Looks great. I built this almost identical about three years ago, but I added 2X4 alongside each 4X4, they are each not true 4 inchers so they all fit in there snug and it's really cool. With cushions looked marvelous, visitors loved it, then I added the oblong pavers flat on top as arm rests placing it all the way back against the back concrete block, leaves a good lip in the front for drinks. Cool. Looks great. The construction Adhesive 500 worked great for this project as well.

I'm going to try to add a photo here, I'm not a KZread pro, so I'm not sure if I can....I can't make it work. Imagine, put a 4x4 along side a 2x4, a standard cinder block will hold them both in one hole. Mainly because neither are True in size. They each are usually a 3.5x3.5 and 1 1/2 x 3.5 so that little bit of space allows you to load the two in one hole. It will fill up the area nicely. Prior to loading the second hole in the cinder block I measure a separate 2x4 to span the inner gap between those two holes. Attach it to the boards you've already loaded thru one side of the hole. Secure it with screws or gorilla glue. Now to finish you will load the next two boards into the remaining cinder block hole, when you are done you will have a fully filled bench, no rear can slip through and it looks really sharp. Unless you have an email address I can send pictures to, I can't provide photos youtube is not letting me load photos here. Best wishes!
