I love watching and listening to your voice - it is SO gentle and lovely. Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Thank you so very much for this tutorial… I love that you showed your entire process & verbalized your thoughts as you changed your mind or moved to a different area. I skip around as well on creative projects as my mind wanders & I get various thoughts. 😁 I’m making a similar bag but needed help with the drawstring part so this was wonderful!!! I appreciate you!!! ❤

Love this! What are the finished dimensions? I’m thinking of using lighter yarn (what I have) and want to know when to stop increasing. Also considering Alpine stitch!
Hi there. Just came across your channel. Great tutorial.

Can you guide me how to attatch the lobster clasp with the i cord chain?
In Round 3. Do you alternate stitches? Ex 2 sc in the 1 st, 1 sc in the next 2 sc after. Or is it 2 sc in the first stich and after that its only 1 sc ? Im sorry if this is confusing
how do you attach the first lobster clasp to the i-cord? I don't see a tutorial for this on your channel
Love it! Really want to make it! Do you know if I were to make the handle longer to be cross body length if it would hold up? Or would there be too much stress on the strap?
@yarnTh3ory
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I have made the longer strap using cord and it worked great. Just keep in mind that the strap will stretch so make it slightly shorter than the desired size as it will eventually stretch a little.

Thank you for this video. When staggering the rounds, are you joining at the end of the round or is this continuous rounds? Is that what the stitch marker is for?
@yarnTh3ory

Thank you! This bag is worked in continuous rounds. The stitch marker is used to indicate the end of each round.

Hey there! I love your tutorials. When you say braided cotton cord, is this the same thing as macrame cord? Thank you!
@yarnTh3ory

Hi! Thank you! Yes, it’s a type of macrame cord.
Can I use acrylic or polyester yarn?
A great project and will love to attempt it hopefully very soon but have 1 question and recommendation: 1) what is staggering rows (I'm 1 yr into crocheting and haven't heard of this term; 2) could you film a closer and a little slower. Please do not feel offended I wish I could get a better view, especially with the "staggering." Thanks for sharing,

Hello! Thank you! 1. Check out this very informative article on staggering increases. It explains the difference between staggering and stacking. geekandyarn.com/how-to-stagger-increases/ 2. For the next tutorial I will definitely make sure the zoom my camera in. Let me know if you have any questions once you get started on the project.

The written pattern is not staggered, correct? Why not change it to staggered increases to help us?!
I'm using a thinner yarn and smaller hook (3.5mm), and I'm left handed. The first 5 rows are curving like a bowl instead of laying flat like yours... would you be able to tell if that's because of the thinner yarn, the fact that I'm crocheting in the opposite direction (I'll turn inside out to finish), or something else (maybe too much tension)? Thanks for your excellent tutorial!
@yarnTh3ory
Жыл бұрын
It’s mostly likely because of your tension. Try crocheting looser and it can help to minimize the curling. Please note there may still be some curling .

@@yarnTh3ory Thank you! I switched to a non-stretchy yarn (cottony ribbon) and it's laying mostly flat now... but also paying my dues as a beginner 😊
Saya suka hasil karya kamu, saya tidak tau apakah hanya saya yg berfikir bahwa video yang kamu buat terlalu jauh sehingga sulit untuk memperhatikan caranya. Hasil karya yang cantik, saya suka 😊

If I wish to make it bigger jus continue the repeat pattern for a few more rounds?
@yarnTh3ory
Жыл бұрын
If you want to make it bigger you have two options: Make the base bigger by adding a few more rounds. Make it taller by adding more rounds to the body.

BLO means back loop only. Check out this great blog post that explains it very throughly. www.sigonimacaroni.com/how-to-crochet-in-the-front-and-back-loops-only/
I can manage to make my stitches to go up, they lay flat. Please help
Hi, how do I make this a backpack as well?

Correct me if I’m wrong, the video pattern for Round 3 says 1 sc in the first then 2 sc in the next st and your written pattern says the opposite..
@yarnTh3ory
Жыл бұрын
Hi Gina! In the video (minute mark 5:11) I made note that I staggered my increases so the steps in the video vary slightly from the written instructions. Staggering the increases is optional. I creates a smoother circle. You can place in your increases (the 2sc) in the order that you prefer. Please let me know if you have any questions about staggering increases. Krysten

Starting the icord on the first lobster clasp is very confusing and your tutorial doesn’t cover how you crocheted it onto the first lobster clasp only the second one
I love your creations but I don´t speak English☹
The music is extremely annoying..I couldn't wait to end ...
