Omg I did it. It was really easy! Thank you so much. The only thing I don't like on this skirt is the humpback folt on the backside. I made it out of an old pair jeans, the skirt is so much better than the Jean I usually don't wear.

Glad you were able to easily do this! To fix the humpback on the backside, you can cut off all of the bulky seam (used to join the legs when they were jeans). You can then sew the back flat, get rid of the excess fabric and that should help! Your jeans have to be oversized for this to work though as you’re getting rid of quite a bit of fabric at the back 🥴

I think you can definitely try! I think it would be tight at the bottom as with straight leg/ wide leg jeans you have more fabric but definitely try and see how it works out for you 😃 My recommendation would be to use straight/ wide leg jeans though 😅

I initially tried this with fabric glue and it didn't work as well as denim is a much thicker fabric. From my experience, fabric glue works best with lightweight fabrics.

I was looking at sewing patterns for denimn skirts. But as a beginner I’m just gonna hit the thrift store for some unloved jeans. 😂😂😂. It’ll be wayyy cheaper too especially with the price of fabric these days

If you've got two pairs of coordinated (or contrasting) colors of jeans, then you can make this same skirt with flares or gussets (?) To make it wider, especially at the bottom. Extra fabric can be added on the front to be more modest.
