Wow. How to make old denim look really sophisticated and "designer". A really lovely versatile design. Would look good as a bag for spring and summer, made up in pretty patterned medium weight curtain, material, or velvet and brocades for winter.

@@IreHeartCrafting My pleasure - I'm a sewer, made my children's dungarees and shorts and other clothing from recycled clothes from jumble sales (10p for a pair of men's trousers for example,) or remnants from the fabric shop). I made my son's school trousers when he was in primary school, got a bolt of cloth from a fabric mill . Big bonus was that when he tore the knees I would open up the side seams and sew in a rectangular piece all the way across, with horizontal top stitching, instead of just sewing on a patch. His class mates thought he had designer trousers! I learned from my mother, (who inherited her skills from her paternal grandfather who was a gentleman's tailor) - she made all her winter top coats, and much of my childhood clothing. All on a treadle sewing machine in a cabinet - /the days of sewing machines that were just forward and reverse - no zig zag plus stitches. A skill that you never forget. UK. E.

Try using strong thread? It's usually thicker and will show up more prominently. Experiment with stitch length to find what looks best?

Assisto teus vídeos com prazer, pois tenho como hobby, a costura (minha mãe foi costureira toda sua vida)...raramente compro roupas novas...prefiro as de brechós, pois as reciclo, deixando-as com a 'minha cara'...e minhas roupas velhas, inservíveis, bem como as roupas de alguns parentes meus, transformo-as em bolsas, sacolas, tapetes...mas, infelizmente, não tenho o talento, o dom que você, e outras tantas pessoas que sigo, tem...mas me esforço. Ah, também tenho outros hobbys, como marcenaria e coisas que produzo com restos de metal...todas coisas que, em minhas andanças, recolho pelas ruas...e vou te confessar que, apesar de ter um talento muito duvidoso, me divirto muito. O resultado foi constrangedor, mas me motivou a aprender a costurar. Meus primeiros espectadores foram aquelas pessoas que não costuram como eu. Percebi que minha costura melhorou à medida que continuei fazendo bolsas. Na verdade, a experiência é nosso melhor professor. Acredito que você também consegue!
