Great video! I love the teamwork. Would you by chance know what kind of screws and bolts we need for the crib? I have reached out to rooms to go for directions because we took ours apart when we were moving and we are trying to put the crib back together, but we lost all of the screws and bolts.

The crib was meant to convert, but you needed to buy the rails, and they are very cheap and wobbly, so we made our own stronger ones for less money.

With enough care and patience, you can build just about anything, BUT…. there is a big difference between a wall and a crib or dresser. The fit and finish has to be flawless, or you will see it. You will never survive your wife’s wrath if her baby gets a splinter, eats paint, and gets its arm or head stuck in your crib. Run for the hills if it collapses. Facebook Marketplace is your best friend in this case. Get a good used one. Save your marriage, not your money, when dealing with a woman’s child! Build a picnic table, kitchen table, or desk. Stay clear of big projects in the nursery. I have built 100s of things, but even I won’t go there!!

How long should the slats to be cut please?

I am sorry. I don’t remember. A full size bed is 54 inches wide and so I would guess the slats are roughly 56 inches wide. I just cut them to fit at the time

Yes, that will work. It will be a little strange that the bed has 8 feet, but a bed skirt will cover that.

Just use 4 slats total. One one each end and the other two spaced evenly in the middle

Its the least expensive wood that does have a lot of knots, like pine.
