Thank you for sharing and in return, the easiest way that I can think of, to separate the mold from the container, would be to use needle nose/ regular pliers, with rubber tips as to not damage the mold. You should be able to grip it, pull, while using another tool (maybe made of wood or hard rubber preferred) to hold the bottom part of the jar and it should come off without much fuss. I also want to advise in getting a power sander and you could even make a holding device for the sander to turn it upside down and this way, you can work on the jars from the top.

Hi. Really nice work with great results. I have had success releasing concrete from silicone moulds before by blowing compressed air down the inside of the form. I think this would work well for you too. Try to get a small jet of high pressure air down between the concrete and the mold. I hope it helps

Love your video. I am selling at a local farmers market and at a flea market booth. I was using acrylic paint but it has ruined a few of my expensive molds. I switched to concrete pigment but the colors are boring prolly going back to acrylic. I dont have a fancy cutter thing so I got a 3 inch punch and I make my own dust covers which is hard as heck to get the holes cut for a wood or cotton wick. Lol. I have 4 different sizes and finding the proper wicks has been an an expensive journey. I was using the same molds but eventually they stopped coming out round and instead are oval so I tossed them in the trash. I have watched all my candles melt to the end of the jar and no matter what sealer I use the wax always penetrates through the sealer and leaves a wet look. If you splash any wax outside the jar then its ruined because you can't get the wet look off. I have special ordered white concrete to make the colors pop more and I really like it but takes longer to dry. Been doing this inside. Have a fan set up to blow the conrete dust away from me when I stir and sand and vacuum the room alot. I found the solo cups to be a immense environmental issue. I use a tupperware bowl an fill it with enough to make 6 molds at once. Then I wash the bowl in my backyard. And reuse the same bowl over and over and never will purchase a solo cup again. I am in the process of adding a sink in my garage so I can move it all out there. I also found a power tool with a little kitchen mixer added will make your stirring easier and my hands thank me. Mainly I use it to mix the pigment well. Everybody finds what works better for them and what they have to work with. Eventually I want to have printed dust covers but for now I just have labels tied to the jars. Watching your video has been fun. Your so talented and have all the best stuff to work with. Cheers.

I’m having the same issue with the ‘wet look’ after I’ve sealed my containers! I use polyurethane to seal the insides the matte one but I don’t like that the wax leaves the wet stain. I want my containers to be reusable.

Thanks for watching :) I totally understand the wet spots that show through. I have found that if I do 3 to 4 thick coats on the inside and 1 on the outside seems to really help eliminate that problem. I do like the outside to stay uncoated as it looks better. Let me know if you figure out another way to help with it completely. I'm curious to hear how the white cement turns out.

It’s also possibly the reason why her moulds go oval shaped instead of keeping their circular shape over time. I guess you give up one problem for the other.

Hi Sophia, thank you!! It could be a few things that you can be doing that could cause that. Make sure the temperature isn't too cold meaning if you're outside and it's freezing out. Also, are you using CementAll or another type of cement? The amount of water in your mix could also cause it. That's why we all have to test several of these before we sell them. It took me several months to figure out how to make them perfect.

The candles are a darker color when you take them out due to the moisture. After a day or two of drying, the tend to lighten a bit more. Thanks for watching and following me :)
