Hand polish the blend and send. Nuthin’ to it the way we do it. If your blender leaves it invisible, it’s a true blender and it won’t fail😉😉

No tape line left. That's why the tape is so far away. There's nothing to buff. But you an always hand polish it if you see any mist near the tape area. But shouldn't be anything especially if you're using a small gun or a gun with low overspray.

ive been following your advice you gave me man and no more runs the past two weeks. went through those crappy hiccups. adjusted all my guns to higher pressure and theyre laying down smoothly! Please make how to mask quickly video for collision work. I feel my prep and masking is taking up most of my time. I can only paint about 2-3 cars a day now and it should be higher for the type of repair it is. My black widow seems to give off alot of overspray. whats your pressure at with that and fan ?

I'm trying to get a masking vid done. My pepper masks the cars. And she's fast as hell so I'm hoping she calls out sick or something so I can have the opportunity to mask something. She masks like 5 cars a day and nice size jobs too. But I'm trying to get something I have a lot of requests for that. And on the BW gun I'm at 28-30 psi full fan full fluid.

Great work as always. In and out...Hey Trigger, I've always sprayed with solvent base, and I wanna start learning to spray waterborn base. All the shops around spray solvent as well. Or is it better just to stay with solvent base due to very hot and humid days. I really don't know how to work with waterborn and there's very little info on this. Maybe you can shoot a video on this subject. I only see painters just say it's waterborn and that's it. Thanks brother....
@thetriggerman954
Ай бұрын
They've you sir, man I haven't the slightest idea about waterborn paint. I left the dealership in 2010 and they were installing all of the fans to switch over to water, only thing I know are the few questions on my ASE Recertification tests. And it's only like 3 questions. And everyone that I personally know that sprays it says they like solvent base better. Sorry I'm no help on that one man. 🤷🏽♂️💪🏼

@@thetriggerman954 No problemo bro. I'll just stick to solvent man. I'm assuming one needs to have a special fancy booth with all the bells and whistles which I don't have lol. Love the content bro! I’ve been painting for quite a while now but I’ve had so much trouble figuring out prices is there anyway you could point me into the right direction?!
@thetriggerman954
Ай бұрын
Thank you sir, prices vary on location. Might want to look into an estimating software The one I used is a bit expensive made by Mitchell but they have so many different types out there I will You just type in the job you're doing and it calculates it for you based on the rate you set. Or you can come up with your own method say like excluding materials if you charge $300 per panel etc...
@boostgaragebuilt1363
Ай бұрын
@@thetriggerman954 what about material wise ? I’m sure when you buy a gallon of clear you don’t charge that whole gallon to the job do you?
@thetriggerman954
Ай бұрын
@@boostgaragebuilt1363 materials you just want to come up with a figure and apply that to the size of the job. Say a fender,front door, rear door, quarter panel so that's a complete side. So let's say you charge $200 per panel for your labor. Now that's $800. And our material you could say $100 per panel so that's another $400 which is now a $1,200 job. Look at the job and see if that works for you if that seems a bit cheap adjust. Now let's say you charge $300 per panel Now you're at $1,200 in labor. Now add your $100 per panel in materials so that's another $400 Now you have a total of $1,600 for the complete side of a vehicle. Write everything down then look at different cars and see if it's worth it to you If it is then good If not then adjust. Then the more body work you have to do then you'll know to just tack on an extra from there.
