@Salvador Beau it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy! Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
I’m moving soon, so I’ll have a million cardboard boxes. Ive been trying to figure out what I could do with a lot of them, since I won’t have the space to keep them, and this is a perfect idea for me to use up a lot of those boxes and give my cats something to use!
What a great video! I have a ton of saved cardboard-now I know WHY I’ve been saving it! I am going to make my cat, Bear, watch the end of this video. Hopefully he’ll learn that cat scratchers are where he’s supposed to sharpen his claws, NOT my furniture.
Your cat asking are you done yet?!😂😂😂
You've made a cat scratcher into a work of art! If cats had money, they'd all be putting in orders for these. Well done and thanks for sharing
WOW. I would have stopped by #2
King of the mountain.. meanie, lol Beautiful tree stump scratcher
This was just mesmerizing to watch. Not sure I would have the patience to carry it through. Great job! Lucky cats!!
This is a work of art. Would not want the cat to ruin it!!😂
You are so talented! Not only in DIY but in editing those wonderful videos. Thanks a lot.. You are inspiration to me who is a mom of 26 cats ♥

she dont like human,so i should not do that. As the last scene shows, don't worry, those two usually get along very well with each other. thank you for watching!
I love it when they 'Help' you with what you're doing... my cat used to help me sew all the time.. she'd sit on the fabric, and sprawl until I either gave in and played, or put her in another room with the door closed.. lol. She would also sit on my shoulder much like she was part parrot or something and watch the sewing machine work. It sounds dangerous I know, but if I was focused on something, she had to be there too. She only ever went for the moving needle once... I scuffed her, swatted her butt, hissed at her and dumped her on the floor.. she never went for anything on the sewing machine table again. Cats are actually very smart and can learn very well if you have the time to teach them. after my Sweet-Pea passed away I moved into a new building, where they said pets were okay, but less than 2 months later hey decides to change the building rules and if you already had a pet you were good, but my new kitty wasn't old enough to leave it's mother in time so I had to find her another home before she ever came to mine. I like watching channels like your's because I enjoy seeing the love other have for cats too.

This is actually a great idea... Aesthetically pleasing and it's functional for the cats as a scratcher and as a platform for them to rest and sleep on. I can see this even working as a stool that humans can use. I wonder why no manufacturer has jumped in on this idea yet... Maybe just a matter of time.
I’m going to start saving those Amazon boxes…
Really smart crafty stuff there love love the knight he’s owesome, your cats are lucky they have you it’s owesome what you make for them

I made one myself from bamboo and wrapped them in those ropes (idk what they're called), and also made some out of leftovers boxes. It's a nice little project to do during lockdown and also a great way to recycle boxes.

thank you for watching! yes it tooks about a month. i can collect cardboard easy coz in near supermarket has free cardboard!
With friends like that....
✨素晴らしい〜👏🤩 Excellent💮👍✨
Amazing patience! It would have been perfect had it been glued just on the inside, i.e. the mid point since the external part is meant to be scratched away so it won't really matter if the shape shifts with time. And whatever remains on the glued pole side would have been thrown away anyway. Remains as is, the cats will scratch off the dried glue too, uff, and would ingest those toxic dusts under their claws...and we sure won't want them ill by this. Can u pls make another scratching trunk, Mr Patience?
That is the most elaborate cat scratcher I have ever seen. It would have been so much easier and much less work to just wrap a rope around a cylinder or just buy a new cat scratching post. (grins) But I admire your tenacity.

My cats walk right past the scratching post and head to the cardboard box I’ve been storing stuff in. They stand on the stuff and go to town on the cardboard. They would love this cardboard tree.
切り株の腰掛けとかお洒落だなぁと思ってたけど、猫ちゃんが居るならそうだよね。爪研ぎよね~(^^;
I think the glue is excessive when the cats scratch it, it's hard for them to scratch through it when it is too thick
awesome, but wondering if/ would it be easier to just hotglue a stack together 1st & then just cut (or saw?) thru them all to get your final shape... maybe a box cutter after for smaller type details?....(I'd be too lazy to trace, ct, number them all 1 by 1!)

This is such a groovy idea - thank you! I'm planning on attempting this myself and was wondering if the scratcher stays in place on its own (as in "anchored" to whatever spot you place it) or if you had to do anything to secure the base? Thanks again!

@@DIYCATVILLAGE I guess that makes sense considering the vast cardboard empire that goes into this... Thank you for taking the time to reply!
This is cool and all but, why didn't you just cut the circles out in the beginning?
So cool! How do you manage to enlarge the shape at each step, from 1 to 90? Do you cut a little bit larger at each step?
@DIYCATVILLAGE
3 жыл бұрын
thank you for watching! yes,i cut a little bit larger at each step. its first time to make this.so i worried about it works or not.but it seems good I am happy with it.
Where did u get all that new cardboard?
👍😊
The way i did mine was glue all the card together. Then use a powered saw. Kinda like a portable band saw and cut it into big rectangles. Its a lot easier. But the fiddling around is just too much. 20 hours of my time is worth a lot more than a $10max cat scratcher.
Amazing! Is it heavy!
@DIYCATVILLAGE

thank you for watching! yes its heavy.
I fortunately do have some of the qualities that should make me stay fix till I make one for my cats 😄. Incredible work! Looks so tempting for cats ... indeed a piece worth spending time.l and effort on. Thankyou for the wonderful idea and thankyou for sharing it with us. Also, I'd be very grateful if you could please tell the rough size of board 0 and board 90? In diameter or length and breadth .. anyways please!
