WOW!! What an amazing before and after. I can't believe you did all this in such a short period of time. And I love how you took a bunch of mismatched furniture pieces and made them all look cohesive to the space. But the treatment to the pass-through window was pure genius. It looks so good. Week after week you never fail to amaze me with your content.

I got a kick out of the "spooky" music at the beginning when you were showing the before basement!! I love the bookshelf transformation and the floating carpet tiles idea is one I'll pass on to my daughter as she is starting work on her basement. Also, I agree, I prefer lamp light to overhead light; so I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my hummingbird lamp!! 😍

I noticed that as well. Kind of added to the doom/gloom of the “before”.

You inspire me . I’ve been in a “ditch” at times ( crying at intervals), trying to redo our upstairs ( where our daughter now lives ), running into problem after problem . But , I watch you & you’re so calm , smiling & just patiently carry on , step by step , getting it done , whatever you run into ! And the results are always amazing! Thank you !

Good morning Sherry ~ I truly love the wood tones with the black ! It is a “boho” feel for the female, yet totally masculine for the guys! A win/win for both! Then adding the black to the facet where the can lights are and the trim on the book case just took it up to grand ! LOL!! Good pick on the paint color! Whites definitely need light from windows, doors, etc to look clean and crisp. Light tones brighten rooms and you did excellent ( which I knew you would ) I can’t wait to see the rest of this apartment come to life for your son! Your dedication to care when prepping surfaces is why I love your channel. That and your ideas and decorating sense, of course! I think pulling up all that underlying paper on the that was left behind after you removed the flooring was a good idea because that paper could have held smells in it from the water damage. So don’t regret the time you took to do it right!

Absolutely BRILLANT ! ! ... I love watching you do so much work... I'm 82 now and have to just watch but it brings back so many fun memories. I remodeled over 20 houses... all work by myself ...he was playing golf. (no we weren't military) I always thought that (this was the last house )...but I also thought that moving wasn't a big deal and it gave me a chance to do some fun things to do on a dime budget.
