A less than $2 miniature whip is available anywhere that sells kitchen goods and at Sally's Beauty too for mixing bleach and not using your bleach brush for that. Why not? Well, you could conceivably get powder unmixed in the brush and you will get more lumps and it takes so much longer. Back sections first switching sides evenly. Front is last because back holds more heat and front is usually more highlighted already and needs more care about avoiding ends. You can protect your ends (ends are anything highlighted or platinum) by using a serum for that and covering them with foil. The DIY is very realistic about how hard it is to do your hair if your mirrors aren't set up ideally. Make Your Own Mirror for doing your hair based on how you like to do it. I have a major back injury and doing my hair sucks. I can only do thee top if I use a mirror for makeup. but you can take 3 Walmart full body mirrors and put 2 or 3 little hinges between them with drilling pilots, and spend a day perfecting your creation. You could pick lightweight mirrors just as long as the frame will take screws. Do one panel at a time while seated and prop up the panels with a door or dresser. I set 2 on my dresser errors by pulling out 2 doors half way and clapping the mirrors on their sides. Depending up what hinges you choose, you can also clap 2 mirrors back to back and mark where the pilots holes go or draw around the whole hinge if you struggle with crafting. Before using automatic drill (Makita) you can apply E600 or E700 in each hole or on the screw tip if you're confident they'll fit to help them set without falling out. Don't try this on plastic it could crack. Then add the last one and clamp it. You can get sticky 2 sided tape and put it on the back of the hinge to help hold it. I use packing tape to hold the. hinge and door and I just screw the screw with the power tool right through it. Then I don't scratch anything as much. I choose wood so I stain then dove white because it's easier for me to clean. Nowadays you can get black hinges, hinges any color really and it's fun to make them your own style adding wood decorations with simple glue and finishing nails. Use clamps. You can clamp a tiny nail tech lamp to the mirror if you cannot see as well as cordless cricket lights, and stick on positional lights or a light bar with magnets. Go crazy and have fun designing your own. You can save ton of money. A medicine cabinet with 3 panels the 2 ends panels need to open in. You can then face a wall mirror like in the bathroom and look behind you and use the counter, or turn around inside the 3 way and look left then right. Save up and buy yourself a wall mirror from amazon or Home Depot for under 200$, or at a garage sale. You can also create your own mirror from antiques and findings with a little effort for your vanity top :). If you color your hair you need to do it. You'll be so happy later. Also try to get light bulbs that are not yellow, not in a gold light or use natural light whenever possible.

don't use a wella t Anything on roots if you're going for a shadow root effect it is a permanent and has ammonia in it which will almost always cause hot roots like you'd previously gotten. use a Demi color far less damaging and won't take so many tries to get it right but the end result was fantastic!

Should of mixed t14 and t18 half and half with 20v and let it sit for 30 and you wouldn't have to bleach again. If you wanted to go grey add half bottle of 050 and no developer 30 mins depending if you want light or dark grey. Just a tip.

Wella T toners should be used with its own developer (color charm activation lotion) for maximum results and follow manufacture times that way your toner doesn’t wash out after 2-4 washes. Also you will get the best results and healthy hair when bleaching if you have less outgrowth(retouch every 4weeks or so) . Because the farther that out growth is from the heat of your scalp the more uneven and banding you will have. Just a FYI !

Thank for for explaining that to me, I hadn't known about the color charm activation lotion with the toners (thought I could use any) I will deff keep that in mind for next time (: -You are correct, I typically do my roots every 4-5 weeks, but during lockdown I was debating between going into a salon when they re-open or doing it myself. I ended up doing it myself the reason for the amount of regrowth. Thankfully it turned out for me! Thanks for watching, Please don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already :)

I’m a licensed cosmetologist! I have been one for 20+ Years. I never use wella developers when I use Wella colors. NEVER! And I have never had any problems what so ever! She used a 20 volume so it deposited once it will have to grow out not shampoo out. She can keep her color vibrant by using purple shampoos lightly or purple conditioners lightly once every two weeks to keep her color nice and white. By the way your hair looks amazing. I’m platinum also and this Is exactly how I accomplish my color. Oh by the way I’m a African American woman with a level 5 natural color and I have a relaxer. I don’t use anything over 20 when accomplishing this color.

@@Mekia-hr8qh Yes but I’m referring to Wells TONERS (sold at Sally’s) so when toning (especially bleached hair) you want to deposit only. you don’t want to use 20 volume to deposit/tone ...it’s not necessary to damage the hair any further. Because the hair cuticle is already open from the bleaching process. And I’m also a licensed cosmetologist for 30 years😁

Hey there, apparently u didn’t leave the bleach in long enough, it can bleach for up to an hour. I read other utube tutorials and they said use toner T 18 if it’s orange and use blue shampoo to cancel out orange. T 14 is for more yellow lift and use purple shampoo to cancel yellow out. Look at the colour wheel. Hope this helps. Yur using the wrong colour toner I thinks.

@@livingthe_sassylife5383 my dude does a great job at applying the bleach actually. As I already stated, I'm the one that goes to Sally's and mixes the products. However, he applies it and he seriously is a pro w his hands. He does construction/fixed his V8 engine on his truck himself/welding......the list goes oooooonnnnnn and on fr. He has what I call Wizard Hands 💖. He is better than the $200 stylist(s) I've gone too in the past, and I've had about 6 or 7 pro hair stylists in my life, so far. I consistently went to atleast 4 throughout the years,( 1 for like a few years and then they move, or get too expensive, etc) and my dude seriously is the best at applying it. It's crazy how they charged me $200 for products that at most are $35. I do understand though and I respect you for actually doing ALL of it on your own, and you do it very well!😁

Hi Miriam, the first time after the bleach session I used T-18 but I didn’t bleach my roots enough to get my desired colour so I went back in and ONLY bleached the roots and then for the second application of toner I used wella t-14 on just my roots. So the end result is just by bleaching and using wella T-14, hope that clears things up :)
