It's because this design is based on antique barclamps. This is how they used to build them back in the day ;)

Not an innovation. This clamp was designed and published in old books about jigs. The merit of the video-maker, is to illustrate the construction process.

Filled with youtube, factory tools that offer and are more expensive, many make ridiculous clamps, which are sometimes as complicated and expensive as the factory ones you made, as simple as possible, but fantastic for your designs, I do it myself !! thank you !!

Brilliant and inspirational. Thanks so much for not slathering on that horrible computer generated music so many video makers seem to think helps their videos. The natural sound was wonderful and perfect. And you have some really great tricks I'm going to use for sure, like your jig to drill repetitive half holes on the edges of boards and your table saw dowel maker. Simple and useful. So thanks a lot.
