EDIT: I'm back to say I finished my bag and although it took a little longer to make than I anticipated ( OK... a lot longer lol ) it was a fun and easy project to make. I used a 1cm seam allowance on it all and it worked well. The finished bag measures at 20cm high, 28cm long and 10cm wide. * The 17cm x 19cm front pocket measurements were right. * For my inner zippered pocket I cut my fabric at 22cm x 30cm which made the finished pocket 20cm wide by 14cm deep. * For the sides I curved my grid from the centre 6cm line at the top to the bottom of the 6cm square at the sides, and at the bottom 2cm out and 2cm up. I clipped them in and hand basted like she did in the video before machine stitching. Don't skip this step and do make sure you mark the 4 points to make sure the corduroy lines stay straight. Also, a heads that there is quite some bulk getting over some of these seams ( I used a thick interfacing ). My vintage machine handled it like a pro but if your machine struggles with bulk, just be forewarned and take it easy through those parts. * The only thing I'd have done differently was not use interfacing in the handles ( or perhaps I just used the wrong one ). For those wanting the measurements to cut out your pieces, I am not the creator of this video or bag but the measurements are mostly all there in the video. For the ones that are not, I'm about to make my first one and I'll come back to update if there is a change from what I think they are, but this is what I have worked the ones not listed out to be and I am assuming all seam allowances are 1cm, but could be 1.5cm: * Cut the front pocket pieces ( front fabric, lining fabric and interfacings ) at 17cm high by 19cm long. * For the side pieces of the bag use metric grid paper if you have it, or draw up your own if you don't, a 1cm grid page of 12cm x 20 cm and follow her curves to get the right size and shape. It looks like she has started the top on the 6cm line then curved down to the bottom of the side 6cm line, then the bottom ones are about 1.5cm to 2cm high and wide but I need to double check this one. * The inner pocket in the bag lining just needs to fit comfortably in there so you can make it any size you want, just make it a size that fits well. It's always best to do a cheap muslin of any project first before cutting into your good fabric. I'll let you all know how I go with the measurements I'm using. I'll be starting out with a 1cm seam allowance.

Isnt corduroy a type of velvet? At least here where I live, in portuguese, we call it "corduroy velvet"

She is using 1cm grid paper so you can get some or draw your own and then then copy her markings. I am going to make the bag over the next few days so will update you with how I go but so far I think for the top you start right on the 6cm line and curve down to 6cm each side and then at the bottom it is only about 1.5 to 2 cm from the edges. Always best to do a cheap muslin before cutting into your good fabric.

The measurements are mostly all there. Cut the front pocket pieces at 17cm high by 19cm long then draw up a 1cm grid page of 12cm x 20 cm and follow her curves for the side parts. The inner pocket in the bag lining just needs to fit comfortably in there so you can make it any size you want, just make it a size that fits well. It's always best to do a cheap muslin first before cutting into your good fabric, I'm just about to start on mine.🙂

Decide on the finished size you are wanting the bag to be. Use that as your starting base then reduce all measurements of everything accordingly. Start mapping it out on paper and it will make more sense.

Mir gefällt die Tasche sehr gut. Ich würde sie gerne nachnähen allerdings gibt es nicht zu allen schnittteilen Maße und ich bin leider echt nicht firm in Mathe. Könntest du deine Maße vielleicht in die Infobox schreiben oder gibt es irgendwo ein Schnittmuster oder so wo man das nachschauen kann?

The measurements for almost all pieces are provided. The front pocket isn't listed but the finished edge matches up with the 6cm line so you would minus 6 from 22 ( the height of the outer bag ) and get 16 cm and add 1cm for the seam allowance for the lining, then you are minusing 2 x 8 = 16cm from the length of 30 cm, but adding 1.5cm for each side of the pocket to extend into the section where the handle will cover the raw edges of the pocket so the pocket piece, lining and interfacing will be 19cm wide. I haven't made it yet myself so I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but 17cm x 19cm is what I get for the outer pockets to be cut at. Making a quick muslin project before cutting your good fabric is always a good idea. I know I'll need to map the sides out on graph paper but I'll come back and update when I get to that part.

They didn’t list it, but measure how much space is left in that middle section and add a bit more fabric (I did about 1/2-1 in or 1-2 cm.

I'm about to make it and my calculations are that the front pocket pieces should be cut at 17cm x 19cm. I got the height of 17cm as you can see that the finished top lines up with the 6cm line ( so 22 - 6 = 16 and add 1 more cm for the seam allowance with the lining ) then for the width we are subtracting 16 from 30cm but wanting an extra 1.5cm both sides which the handle will cover and finish the raw edge of the pocket stitching, so we need them 19cm wide. I'll come back and update whether I'm right or wrong with it.

Almost all the measurements are there. For the front pocket cut your pieces 17cm high and 19cm long and for the side pieces map out a 1cm grid page 12cm x 20cm and follow the markings she did to get the correct curves. The internal pocket i the lining can be ay size you wat it to be, you don't need to be specific there as long as it fits right.

@@joycew3086 Yeah, same here but I mapped it all out on paper last night and I'm pretty sure I have all the measurements to cut everything correctly and I have a couple of spare hours this afternoon so I'm hoping I might manage to at least get started on one. It really is a cute bag!!

The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your bbkbags bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be considered the fruit of your efforts.
