Oh man it's hard to say without being able to see how it's wired. I would re-watch the video and check to make sure the components you're using have the same wire configuration as the one in the video. If it's the same, watch the video, pausing it as you go to ensure the connections are correct. I know from personal experience that it's usually something I did. Especially if I'm tired. Maybe let it go for today and come back at it fresh tomorrow. Hope that helps. Bill

Thanks for the tutorial, but I have an issue, I bought 2 valves, i built the first one following every step, and it worked, the valve opened, but when I turn it off, it doesn’t close. I thought maybe the valve was bad, so I tried the other one, and same thing, after it opened, it wouldn’t close again. Any idea why? Has anyone came across this issue also ? 🤔

I'd check how you have the switch wired. If you look closely at the wire colors you can see that the red/white wires from the battery enter the corrugated split tube but when they come out one is red and the other appears to be black. The white wire has "black heat-shrink" tubing on it making it appear to be black but that's the white wire from the batter. Hope that helps

The soap mix goes through the 2-way valve. When I no longer want soap, I simply turn the valve off so no mix is pulled into the injector.

  • @businessideasacademy

So this is a great way to downstream using your pressure washer. This system will allow you to remotely turn your soap on/off. You can achieve the same thing by changing out your nozzles. I like this for downstreaming because I'm sure the soap is off especially when I'm watering down plants or rinsine the SH off a home. I've had rinse nozzles that will still let soap through the system. It might be because of the length of my hose causing a pressure drop across the DS injector allowing soap to flow. So for washing homes... you can consider this a substitute for a soft-wash system. However, it will not work if you plan to do roof washing. You cannot deliver a strong enough SH mix to clean roofs (about 6% SH).

I'd be happy to help you build your own if I can (you know, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime). The parts are the difficult thing right now. I was going to build a second one and the motorized valve in the 1/4" size couldn't be found. I ended up using a more expense Banjo brand, 1/2" motorized ball valve and downsized the barbed fittings.

Why not just use different tips man, I turn my soap on and off by changing tips? I never have to go back to the truck, soap tip turns it on, and rinse tip turns it off. Get after it and make it simple, way too much stuff going on with your set up.

  • @williamseith4267

You are correct. You can use different tips if you're downstreaming but there are more applications for this setup if you're creative. I use a similar setup with a larger 3-way motorized valve to switch my roof pump from SH to water only. Also, I've had my zero orifice rinse tip (the one rated for my 8gpm) pull soap. Not sure why so I added this system for safety. Especially when using to hydrate plants.
