Making an air whip for duct cleaning will be my project this time. Of all DIY air duct cleaning tools I've made so far, I think this one is probably the most fun for me to use. It works well for removing dust and debris from air vents when used with a HVAC negative air machine which is designed for duct cleaning. A link to a video showing how a DIY negative air machine/duct vacuum was made is listed below, along with links for how to make some different air whips for duct cleaning. A stiffer, more supportive "skipper hose" may be needed for pushing the air whip through the ductwork because shop air hoses can be too flexible, and just curl up inside the ducting. A video about how I made a skipper hose/duct snake hose for the air whips is listed below.
