    Hi! This is a tip that I’ve learnt during quarantine while using this recipe for air dry clay. I suggest letting it dry first and then paint on it, then cover it in modpoge or whatever it’s called or glue so that it stays shiny and doesn’t loose colour!

    @@soprondiana6261 Hiya! Sure, your air dry clay may be rubbery because it’s dried up- or because it’s in the drying process, you can add a little bit of warm water ( I mean a little bit not a lot) and try to fold it in, or glue. Something that would give it its moisture back so it stays soft :) I hope this helps

    This totally works for butter slime! You can replace cornstarch with twice as much flour and replace lemon juice with half the amount of white vinegar or white wine. Hope it was helpful!

    i used a microwave safe bowl and tried this recipe and it works amazingly. it is the best air dry clay i have ever made. at first it didnt come out but i added some water to the finished clay and it worked. the reason is probably because my brand of glue was different and noticeably thicker. it can be difficult to make but if done right this stuff is as good as store-bought clay and perfect for when you're bored stuck at home. i seriously recommend you to try it out. another tip wrap it in a damp tea towel and then in a zip lock bag to prevent it from drying.

    Great recipe! I like it because it created a very durable "Porcelain". I made a ball of it, let it dry, threw it on the concrete and it only got scratches and didn't shatter. Just be sure to let it sit for a bit, because straight out of the microwave it's a bit too soft to mold. But overall, would definitely recommend.

    This is a great durable recipe for clay, I’ve used it for a few years now and I recommend making it the night before if you are planning on using it for a project, because the first day the texture can be a bit soft for molding. But let it sit overnight and you’ve got the perfect texture. Thank you for this recipe btw.

    Hi Brooke!❤️ I loved this DIY so I decided to make it! I followed all of your instructions but accept for the microwave part. I think that it has to go in for 20 seconds, then 10 seconds. Because one time I put it in for two 30 seconds and it turned out TERRIBLE! So I would prefer making the microwave part shorter!!❤️❤️

  • @Genius-zf5xx

    @Genius-zf5xx

    7 жыл бұрын

    Mei Yuan OK. You don't know what you're talking about. If you put something like a spoon in the microwave, it wouldn't do anything because the surface area of the curve doesn't have any points for the sparks to come off. The reason that a tinfoil ball would be a problem is because it has many small points that sparks could come off of. As long as what you put in the microwave doesn't have any sharp points, it shouldn't make a difference. Get your facts straight before you troll on the Internet. Seriously!!!

    Don't mind me typing the instructions- 1. add half cup of cornstarch to bowl 2. add 4 ounces of glue to bowl 3. mix 4. 2 tablespoons of oil to consistency 5. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to consistency 6. mix 7. put mixture in microwave for 30 secs 8. stir 9. put in microwave for 30 secs 10. knead into cornstarch 12. now I can make cute kidcore rings :)) Kidcore rings! (directions to what I'm making with the clay) 1. shape clay into your finger sized rings 2. decorate however you like 3. let air dry until dry 4. paint rings to your liking 5. put a modge podge layer on painted rings yay now you have cute rings!!
