DIY 5th Gen 4Runner drawer box and sleeping platform. In this series I will be showing you how to make a drawer box and sleeping platform system for a 5th Gen 4Runner. This will be a great addition to increase comfort and streamline storage while car camping in your 4Runner.

    How did you prep it before painting? Did you shellac it first then sand and hit it with raptor liner? (saw it under the work bench i think)

    I ended up just sanding and using rustoleum pro liner. I really didn’t like the way the raptor liner reacted with wood (I used it on the inside of the drawers). Never ended up making a video because there wasn’t much content for it. Just be careful if you go a spray liner route make sure you let it off gas long enough because it was smelly

    @@ExploreLifeWithDaniel thanks dude! Didn't bother using primer or shellac beforehand? Was it thick enough I assume to hide the grain then?

    Oh yeah the roll on stuff was plenty thick. I liked the texture because it was durable but not rubbery or sand paper like. Because the stuff I used was epoxy based I didn’t see a benefit to using a clear coat or base coat before.
