This is one of the most well designed 3d printed things i've ever seen on youtube, nice job. I do have a couple recommendations though. For one, on the tail, you could design it with a recessed and protruding 'spigot' as it were, with a taper, so when you glue it together it registers its self perfectly. Secondly, on your internal webbings with the circular cutouts which print as extreme overhangs and lead to some sagging in the unsupported areas, what I have started doing with those is taken a tangent line from the circle up to the center point at a fixed angle, whatever my printer is capable of printing. So let's say a 55 degree overhang, resulting in a 70 degree included angle at the point on the top. So it's still mostly a circle, just with a pointy hat. It really cleans up the prints. I also do this for screw holes where i'm recessing the head of a socket cap screw in something that will print where that hole is horizontal instead of vertical.

@@nerys71 Yes! Twin engine vtol aircraft. Yet I think the scorpion is too far off in the sci-fi zone that I didn’t think it would function. My guess is that I was thinking more towards a helicopter and it doesn’t have a tail rotor. Still very impressed!

Did you print this in PLA? If yes take care of the middle portion. The ESCs will get pretty warm, warm enough that PLA gets bendable again. Either don't use PLA for the middle portion or do some active cooling. And you have many mating surfaces where metal comes in contact with plastic while rotating. You could add washers to prevent rubbing.

Where did you get those 2 long servo horns?

I wish someone would have made a more helicopter-like version of this. ( dual fixed, constant-speed rotor with collective and cyclic pitch ). Like the CH-47 Chinook, but sideways. This would allow for autorotation to land and a bigger rotor motor to be mounted in the fuselage.

i cant belive HAHAHAHA yesterday i bought me a 3D Resin printer this was one of the first hings i wanted to do i Love the Samson SA II - Gunship since i saw Avatar the first time lol and now like ten years later there yougo here is a STL file 😂😂😂😂😂 one more sighn i did right witth buying that Printer (and get broke af lmao) Thank you for sharing that i really hope that my Photon mono can print that thing.... Hell i never, absolutely NEVER thought that would have been my first aerial Vehicle.the only question i have where the heck you get this extendet tips for the superglue ? 🤯
