Division Emerges Over The 1 Million People March to State House After President's Speech - BNN
The much-anticipated 1 Million People March to State House, scheduled for today, has sparked significant division among citizens, influencers, and activists following the president's speech yesterday. The president announced the withdrawal of the controversial finance bill, leading some to believe the march is no longer necessary. Concerns about the safety of marching to a protected area like State House also weigh on their minds.
However, skepticism persists. Many citizens and activists distrust the president, arguing that he has a history of dishonesty and does not have the country's best interests at heart. They are suspicious of his claim that the bill was sent back to parliament, noting that parliament is in recess until July 22. According to the Kenyan constitution, if the president does not sign a bill within 21 days, it automatically becomes law, raising doubts about the president's intentions.
Amid this turmoil, prominent activists and influencers are also divided. Francis Gaitho has accused Hanifa and Khalif Kairo of being government sellouts, a sentiment echoed by Gabriel Oguda. Meanwhile, others argue that those pushing for the march today have ulterior motives and that the event could undermine the credibility of Gen Z activists and their protests.
This conflict highlights the complex and multifaceted nature of the ongoing struggle for transparency and accountability in Kenya. #milliinmarchtostatehouse #occupystatehouse #occupyprotests #rejectfinancebill2024 #bnn

You can easily tell a sellout even without bank statementd. REJECT ALL SELLOUTS
This was never about any of these people so they can go away …. Youths should educate themselves in civic education and choose well
There is no division. That is old-school divide and rule you are creating. It is not going to work. Ruto home to Sugoi

there is no division, these people have a different view based on what was said yesterday. Kindly let us not fight against ourselves, let us remember our strongest weapon is unity and it doesn't mean we should reason the same. once we compromise our unity, we will have failed in our goal of liberating ourselves from punitive leadership

Reject Ruto and Gachagua
These people are not anyone's enemy. Ruto and his minions are the villains. They are being divided by the government. Stop this and focus. Unity is key otherwise the movement will die, which is what the government ya ruto wants.
These six young people are genuine and opted out on Tuesday night very late when certain politicians from a certain community tried to hijack the demos .....no 2 since the 6guys never participated why didn't genZ not enter statehouse .......anyway I am not aGenZ and I am just a parent to a number of genZs participating who participated in all the demonstrations .I am inclined to think this struggle is organic and it has just began and it will succeed. Pls don't be hijacked by politicians like rigathi and team who are watering down and giving the struggle a tribal touch .genZs don't be divided restrategize and you will win .God protects the oppressed.
Genz has given ruto 21days
Ruto must go , reject ruto

Kairo did not say suspend protests fully he said just give The regime a month or two to implement what GENZ demanded.

Ok, im sorry to burst your bubble but having watched the Moi train Ruto, I can assure you that is a political tactic. After those two months, even if people regroup, it will never be the same number and the same spirit. That’s just human. And that’s the game they are playing. Delay and weaken momentum and be voted in in 2027 again. We’ve seen it before. It works, trust me. Watch even tennis players play. When your opponent is on a winning streak, that’s when you take your “toilet break”, come back and surprisingly tables have turned…
Kairo is not tge Gen Z leader..kairo is just part of the demo not leader

There are different types of protest: boycott their businesses Gen Z has shown they have the numbers ergo an organized consistent boycott will bring desirable result in that one month kairo mentioned, so that its not just business as usual (pun intended)
