Great vid Gav.I served at Shelly Bay from the late 70's to early 80's.Where you dropped in the water was our spot to grab some paua and mussel after the Cpls Club closed between 1230 and 1600 on weekends.We used to cook them up on the BBQ.My fav way for big mussels these days is to shuck them-thow them in a bag of seasoned flour and pan fry them.Beautiful both hot and cold

The new quota for gathering Paua will only effect the honest people .The ones poaching Paua illegally will not give a stuff about these new limits .The law is to soft on them even when they get caught .Another point is the commercial guys ,have they taken a cut as well since the Paua stocks are that low ?

Quota drop good if the commercial followed suit or actually if we followed their example given that they promote themselves as being all about sustainability. Ah well more iwi permits for us lol 5 paua isn’t alot if your travelling far and or are feeding alot of people Keep up the mean vids bro
