    Great video, Nickolas! I really enjoyed your style of shooting it. Maldives islands are famous for the beauty of diving in their waters. And diving from liveboards is considered to be the best format rather than diving from a resort. As you will travel along different atolls and will be embarking to inhabited and uninhabited islands. I really recommend you to try diving from liveaboards one day. This will be an experience you will never forget.

    WOW awesome Nicolas!! Cant wait to go there! I would appreciate a lot if u could help me with these questions: 1.Is this snorkeling or diving? I don't see scuba but I seems a little deep... 2.How deep is it did u see such beautiful coral and fish, like in 01:37? 3.The slow motion in this vid is really cool! Did u use 120fps? Cause I cant make it this slow in 60fps or it will look like a robot. 4.How did u make the footage underwater so clear like this?

  • @Nico-filmmaking

    @Nico-filmmaking

    10 жыл бұрын

    Thanks a lot Frank !! :) yes it's snorkeling and the deep are usually between 5 and 10 meters. For underwater sequences i use the 30fps mode ! And during the editing i use Twixtor,a plug in to make some slow motions sequences. Twixtor add images to simulate a high-speed camera. And for editing and effects i use Sony Vegas. I hope i have answered your questions !

    Nicolas Thiou Wow u really have a lung power! I always thought snorkeling is only shallower than 5m... I think I must need a scuba to get that deep BTW, do u think there is need of a filter if I just snorkel within 5m?

  • @Nico-filmmaking

    @Nico-filmmaking

    10 жыл бұрын

    Frank Bai For me 5 meters is the limit to use a red filter... So i think it's not necessary but you can put the filter when you are at 5 meters... For exemple, if you use a filter at 3 meters the image will be red. I use the "SRP red filter".

    Is it advisable to use the a pole when snorkeling/diving? I used a chest mount in my video's of the SSI Scuba Skills update. Can you check it out and maybe tell me what/where I can improve?

    It's a beautiful Video dude! But I recommend NOT using twixtor since it can be seen very easily at some parts... (0:50 the wave on the right is moving strangely, 0:59 the sea moves etc...). Try the official GoPro Program and slow it down - then import it to vegas or final cut. And film 60fps all the time, you never know :) But anyway: great video!
