LOONA's cover of Cherry Bomb was so good that Lee Soo Man reached out and produced So What for them and helped fund their comeback. It's the only time he's ever produced a song for a non SM act. The girl with the insane hair choreo that you pointed out is Heejin, LOONA's ace and center and also my bias. The other girl who killed it that you pointed out is Yves, our main dancer. They're the two best dancers in LOONA.

LOONA doesn't have fixed positions (so a main dancer is not official in LOONA).. they have only Leader, Sub-unit Leaders and obviously a Maknae.

30:37 It makes sense that you see them stand out, as they explained on queendom, Heejin and Yves are in charge of dance in Loona, they call Yves: Director Ha (her real name Ha Sooyoung) and Heejin: Dance team leader, they coordinate the dance practice, take detailed notes for the dance and when there's too many opinions on what they should do, Director Ha has the last word. I really think that what we see them amazingly well has been through the guidance of those too. But obviously all the girls have their merits, Choerry has helped choreograph many times and we know Hyunjin is obssessed with lines and angles making them go over and over throught it to make sure it's right, all of them are great dancers, and when you put them together they are DANGEROUS.

Basic Loona run down: Each member has there own solo song. Each member debuted on a certain month, hence the "girl of the month" thing. Each month a member was revealed then they released a solo song (a title track and a bside). After a certain amount of members debuted they formed a subunit. Debut order w/ solo song and bside: Heejin - Vivid and Vivid Acoustic Version Hyunjin - Around you and I'll Be There Haseul - Let Me In and The Christmas Carol Yeojin - Kiss Later and My Sunday Vivi - Everyday I love you and Every Day I Need You Kim Lip - Eclipse and Twilight Jinsoul - Singing In The Rain and Love Letter Choerry - Love Cherry Motion and Puzzle Yves - New and D-1 Chuu - Heart Attack and Girls Talk Gowon - One & Only and SeeSaw Olivia Hye - Egoist and Rosy There is also a total of 3 subunits (Yeojin is the only member not in a subunit). The subunits are 1/3 (pronounced as one-third), Odd Eye Circle (OEC), and YYXY (pronounced as why why by why). Each unit also has their own concept. 1/3 are the innocent unit, OEC are the girl crush unit, and YYXY are the cute/fresh subunit (I think, feel free to correct me.) Members in each unit: Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, and Vivi - 1/3 Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry - Odd Eye Circle Yves, Chuu, Gowon, and Olvia Hye - YYXY Some subunit songs: 1/3 - Love&Live and Sonatine OEC - Sweet Crazy Love (You already reacted to this one) and Loonatic YYXY - Love4eva and Frozen That concludes a small rundown.

its not technically each month,, its every month or so.. since after the first 4 members, the 1st unit was formed, and they did promotions as well (for several months).. and the introduction of the next members continues.. it took around 18 months (not 12 months) for the 12 members for all their pre-debut promotions. Adding other sub-units (These sub-units were not part of their pre-debut): Yves, Heejin, Jinsoul, Kim Lip - Not Friends Sub-Unit This sub-unit have a song titled "Not Friends" Kim Lip, Yeojin, Choerry, Gowon - Cocomong Sub-Unit They have a collab with Cocomong (a character from a kid's show), two songs with MVs

@@gigiiii i feel like a lot of people bias her but everyone has 3+ biases in loona so she's not many people's ULT bias. she is indeed an ACE tho. her dancing skills are amazing. she's very fluid and fast with her moves like she's walking on air and is often the center in choreos along with heejin and yves even though a lot of people don't notice it(ptt chorus, she has a lot of center parts in butterfly and all their covers). her singing tone is also very unique; you'll notice it in OEC's b-sides especially.

As a huge Aghase and Orbit, I can confirm Loona's dance cover of Eclipse hits DIFFERENT. And I LOVE Eclipse, but dayum QUEENS. Yes indeed, the girls debuted each with a solo song and divided in three sub-units before finally debuting as a full group 🥳 They each have a representative color, animal, shape and the last sub-unit has a representative fruit (important to the lore, you'll understand later 😹😹) I think that's also why they chose Eclipse cause they have a song (solo by Kim Lip) with the same name, or at least I hope it was one of the reasons cause WE LOVE A CONCEPT. Also I love the Ch(o)erry Bomb in dat title 😹 ICONIC DANCE PERFORMANCE. Giiiirl, Loona are a BEAST with ripple effects, you should check literally ALL the dance practices (after checking the songs of course 😏)

It's so funny to me how fast you fell into the vortex....BUT YOU'RE WELCOME LMAOOO🤣 okay, but in all honesty one of my favorite things of Loona as whole is how willing they are to sacrifice screen time to keep the performances cohesive and balanced! there were a couple of comebacks where they were 11 instead of 12 because Haseul was on hiatus for a bit (she's the Bob girl!!) and they kept shadowing or hiding members in group choreos in the back so they looked better from the front! idk I just love their commitment and style man! I'd recommend butterfly if you wanna see more of their older comebacks but still having that intense choregraphy just in a more sentimental fashion! I saw tofu reacts talking about this the other day and it really stuck with me. And, one more thing! Thank you for listening to the recommendations and I'm glad you seem to be enjoying them because they're a blast! It's always so nice seeing someone just enjoying and getting into something new with so much curiosity and enthusiasm! Hahah!🥺✨💫

Another long comment ahead... I'm gonna answer your question about the members in the dance practices and do short intros lol 4:33, 17:13, 30:40 (centre) - That's Heejin! LOONAs first member and literal ace (not even exaggerating, she can dance, sing, rap pretty well I'd say, musician, graphic designer/can draw and way more!). In latest Qd2 stage she's the one with dark wavy hair and with that two piece suit thingy, was the center at the intro locking part. 5:59 - The one with the bob is Haseul, LOONAs leader! She is mainly known for her vocals and her opera skills actually but she's a great dancer as well, like all of LOONA. In Queendom she's the one that has grey/blue hair in round 2. Some time after this cover she went on a hiatus due to her mental health but came back all well for LOONAs latest comeback PTT! 6:17, 22:12, 30:41 (the other one you pointed) - That's Yves, she's one of the dance line (although LOONA doesn't have positions!). She's a great dancer (and singer as well duh), even she has been on Street Woman Fighter! Fun fact she's also the one, that did the 'backflip' (?) in their Qd2 PTT performance. In their round 2 stage she's the one with pink hair 10:05, 11:18 - Yes, this is Choerry (people usually say her name like 'cherry' so you're fine), LOONAs sunshine and a reallyyyy underrated dancer and vocalist, I'd also say she's dance line! In the latest Qd2 performance she has black straight hair and has that brown suit, and in outro went on that other platform and sang "make it louder" part! 16:55 - In here Choerry's the one with purple hair (fun fact I heard she might be coming back to that color) (oh you figured it out later dont mind me but yes her color IS purple) 18:18 - All of their members have solos that were released from October 2016 to March 2018 every like 1 or more months (LOONAs korean name = girl of the month), so instead of introducing them in age order, they are usually presented in the debut order (so the solo MV release order). There's only one member that got introduced first in a unit song and that is Vivi in LOONA 1/3! Later after promotions of her unit she released her solo. (oh you also kinda figured it out later!) 24:47, 32:48 (centre) - That's Olivia Hye or people call her Hyeju (way shorter).. Another one of the dance line of LOONA and the only baby wolf... She's really known for her charisma and that's one of the reasons why she became my bias! Hard not to mention she has the shortest trainee period (in BBC their company) from all of the members - 1 day! In Qd2 r1 and r2 she's the one with red hair. 29:00 - That's Gowon, LOONAs princess! She's the another one of the underrated dance line and she is known for her 'crunchy' vocal. In Qd2 she still has blonde hair and is the one that does the clothes change bit/break in round 2! LOONA debuted in an elaborate and lengthy project that cost their company something like $10 Million, I believe the priciest debut to date in KPOP. Each girl got her own solo project as part of the introduction, then each girl was part of a subunit release. Girls 1-2-3-4~5 (tiny girl) were called 1/3 (LOONA math), 6-7-8 were called Odd Eye Circle (OEC), Choerry (pronounced Chweddy) was girl 8, her purple color the mix of Kim Lip's (6) red and Jinsoul's (7) blue, and finally 9-10-11-12 called yyxy or Youth Youth by Young. The whole pre-debut process; inclusive from October 4, 2016 with 15-year-old Heejin's ViViD solo to yyxy's love4eva on May 30, 2018 or ~ 21 months with their official debut being Hi High on Aug 20, 2018. For the dance covers the girls (besides Choerry) you most noticed were Heejin (1) for her hairography and main-dancer-esque Yves (9). Also last girl 12, Olivia Hye for her body roll and back drop in Cherry Bomb. The dance covers were done during a fallow period for LOONA when their creative director left the company and Blockberry went through some... business difficulties and their only group, LOONA, was basically afk from the industry and well might have died. Interestingly their Fire cover caught the interest of SM's former CEO and he co-produced their next album, something he'd never done for a non-SM group. After that they attended KCON LA, Chuu got noticed in Korea and LOONA kept bringing the music. You should really do an album listen to OEC's Max & Match and LOONA's XX. Exceptionally good B-sides for a group with maybe the widest ranging discography in KPOP. Sorry for the loooong comment but you seem interested.

@@gigiiii Heejin and Yves are part of the “f*ck boy” line in Loona, so you can expect them to come for you frequently. It’s how Heejin became my ult bias.. came for me one too many times. In case you’re curious, the f boy line consists of Yves, Heejin, Olivia Hye and Jinsoul.. you’ll understand the more you watch. Kim Lip will also be particularly dangerous on stage, just as a forewarning.

I’m happy that you want to react to a guide to Loona, and I’ll watch because I’m loving your Loona reactions, but honestly the easiest way to remember who each girl is is simply to react to each of their solo and subunit MVs. There really aren’t any great guides for the girls either, unfortunately. “The avengers of Kpop” by Asian theory is probably the most popular, though it’s a couple comebacks outdated and is less of a guide but more of an overview of the Loona experiment, but it IS very informative for the lore aspect and for information about their unique debut process. It’s a pretty great video regardless so that would be my recommendation along with any other basic guide you find and want to react to.

My tip for getting members names down in loona is to watch all their solo MV’s! Because then you have a couple things to remember them by. And you get used to their faces and voices more

That's the thing about the Loona they always give 150%! it doesn't matter if it's a cover or their song they perform for the 100th time, they are always just so passionate and fierce, they act like a group that just debuted and want the whole world to see them its truly remarkable and I have yet to see another group with such fire and amibition and hunger for success 😤 so anyway what I also wanted to add is that they also covered seventeen thank u on idol room i believe, but it was not a full cover sadly, still I recommend to check it out on yt 😉as for Kim Lip's unique name she once said it's from the term sul-lip which means building establishing and that's cause she's the first OEC girl and thus built it 😃

The 2 you pointed out in “cherry bomb” who kill it during the dance break are actually the “dance leaders” of Loona: Heejin and Yves. You’ve pointed them out in almost every video you’ve done so far lol (Heejin is the girl wearing the sleeveless/halter suit top in “shake it” and Yves is the nerdy girl w pink hair- they both directed that performance btw; Heejin is the blond girl w blue eyes in PTT and Yves is wearing the chopped denim outfit who raps the part you liked). I put “dance leaders” in quotes because Loona doesn’t have set positions, but the “dance line” of the group, identified by the fans, is Heejin, Yves, Kim Lip, Olivia Hye and your girl Choerry. Edit: after watching queendom 2, it’s been revealed that Yves and Heejin have been named the de facto performance leaders- I’m not sure if that’s a permanent title or if they just led the choreo and practice for “shake it,” but commentary from the episode made it seem like they are settled into these roles and that they’re established and permanent. They are without a doubt the strongest dancers of Loona. Yves has always been, but Heejin has worked on her extremely muscular physique since 2016 which has elevated her dancing like tenfold- it’s been very inspiring and impressive to watch her growth in all areas (she’s also become a pretty sick guitar player 😝)

Loona's logos associated their representative colors. It basically changes like phases going left or right like how moon phases work. Yeaahh genius right? It holds significant history because as every member released their solo mvs before, yeahh the logo colors changes according to which member like for Choerry, her logo's Purple 💜. If you have seen their legendary boygroup covers try to watch Butterfly MV then the Choreo of it, Choerry's also purple haired during that promotion.

One thing I have to add, Choerry participated creating choreos or contributed to some of their dances, I remembered she was credited in their So What Choreography. Yeahhh Choerry ace, Choerry Sunshine. Her's birthday is coming on June 4th

you keep rewinding too much,, aside from that, I enjoyed the commentary and reaction 4:31 This is Jeon Heejin Once you started the pre-debut, that's the time you will get their names and familiarize it with their faces since it started with the 1st girl then gradually adding another member until there are 12. For me, the fun part is knowing their personalities.. just watched their variety shows (LOONA TV, LOONA TAM TAM TAM, LOONA VLOGS, LOONA NOTE)

Yves, Olivia, Heejin, Kim lip and Choerry (Hyunjin is neck and neck for me) are basically the dance line so always expect the excellence but all girls have gotten extremely great. They dance like rent is due. There are three leaders: Haseul, Kim lip and Yves.

Choerry’s is called Love Cherry Motion! But for the story to make the most sense you should watch them in order of debut. The order is this: Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin, Vivi, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Gowon, and lastly Olivia Hye.

you can pronounce your (current) bias as “cherry” and roll the r’s! sometimes you hear it like “chwerry” pronounced really quick, i think it’s not really a big deal to us! her real name is choi yerim if that helps to understand where the name/sounds come from!

25:23 and 34:39 is olivia hye! she also goes by hyeju (her real name) by fans, and yes... this cherry bomb cover was so insane they went viral and got a comeback after a really hard 2019. heejin also seems to be ur bias wrecker lol, you kept mentioning her hair choreography and a couple times thinking she was choerry (also choerry's name is just pronounced 'cherry'). heejin is not the leader but the center of the group! the leader is haseul, and she had the bob you kept mentioning in eclipse and fire. haseul was unfortunately missing during their cherry bomb cover due to her hiatus in 2020. hope this helps!! excited to watch ur loona journey

See, I told you you’d love the Haseul bob! By the way, you should really watch the Butterfly MV and dance practice because not only does your bias have good parts in it (with the killer purple hair), but she also created some of the best parts in the choreography which is stunning from start to finish. She was even credited for it!

nice reaction. Lip is my ult bias in all kpop. choerry comes for that spot everday as the rest of the gang too. if u are a choerry bias - u gotta see one more cover. choerry will respectfully take you out in the Full Moon cover of sumni. her stage presence and Vocals on that cover is just amazing. i try not to watch it cause once i see it thats all i want to watch and think about all day. lol Lip still haunts me with that performance to this day.

The thing that everyone is talking about "from order of debut" is quite easy to explain. So first, LOONA but in Korean (이달의 소녀), means girl of the month. Meaning that the way they debuted is special. They didn't just debut as a full group in the beginning, but it would be like hey were introducing a girl of the month, and that girl would have her own solo song and MV. That's why there is this whole from order of debut thing going on with LOONA, which comprised around two years and had not only the girls debuting individually but also debuting subunits that would have a meaning in LOONA lore, more known as LOONAVERSE, every video shows some kind of story that is connected to the full group. The first one to debut was Heejin, with her solo song VIVID and her own single album called "Heejin". She was followed by Hyunjin, who debuted with the song AROUND YOU and her own single album "Hyunjin" which included a collab with Heejin in a song called "I'll be There" (which also has an MV). Next one to debut was Haseul with her solo song "Let Me In" and her single "Haseul" which included "The Carol" with Heejin and Hyunjin (this one also has an MV). Next was Yeojin with "Kiss Later" and her single with songs "My Sunday" (by Heejin and Hyunjin) and "My Melody" (by Haseul and Yeojin) which bth have MVs. Next, was the first unit debut, LOONA 1/3, with Love & Live. This unit would introduce a new member Vivi, which would debut after the unit with her song "Everyday I Love You" featuring Haseul (also called EDILY for short) and the MV and single "ViVi" which would include Everyday I Need You, a slowed down version of EDILY but featuring Jinsoul (a member that would debut afterwards, btw this song also has an MV).
