Diving Deeper with Stephane Vigroux - Rendezvous Gathering 2023 I Parkour Generations

Stephane Vigroux is one of the earliest practitioners of parkour from France, a figure who was influential in developing many of the fundamental techniques of the discipline as well as introducing its philosophy to the world and becoming a founding member of Parkour Generations.
In 2023 Stephane spoke and taught publicly at the Rendezvous Gathering in London for the first time in many years. This video is an insight into a discussion with Stephane in which he explores some deeper concepts within parkour and his approach to training and to life.
The Rendezvous Gatherings were started in 2006 to help promote and preserve the original teachings and deeper aspects of parkour for future generations, so we are very grateful to Stephane for travelling from France to be part of the event.
This year Rendezvous falls on the weekend of August 16-18 in London, and tickets are available NOW at:

Thank you PKG & Dan for putting this out there! This one really spoke to my heart. Comme on dit en anglais, "Don't be sad that it's over, be glad that it happened."

The question 4 mins in, & Stephane saying part of that 'exploration' is gone. Not completely... I saw some older traceurs there who will teach us about moving when older, maybe others practising after big illness or surgeries & their recovery. Maybe the disabled practising within their limits. The thought that I can still be jumping around in 20 years...wow. As a kid I always saw 40 year olds were OLD but thats not true nowadays. I have to rethink all i grew up believing... And then there are those poorer communities in other nations jumping amongst ruins & rubble, building an ethic in communities. Where will that lead? These are the big explorations of future. Great video!

There was more, but this is what we were able to capture and share. Every Rendezvous we have talks, panels and Q&As with prestigious members of the parkour community and the best way to access those is to come along. Maybe we'll see you at the event this Summer?
