Izu Ocean Park is located along the Jogasaki coastline, on the east side of the Izu Peninsula, in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. Jogasaki is famous for its dramatic volcanic cliff sides and natural volcanic hot springs. Diving here offers easy access to the water with a tropical resort-like feeling, beautiful white sand at 20m, and a full range of facilities, making this more of a luxury dive spot. Not far into the water and the rocks give way to a drop off, where at 20m depth, a famous underwater post box is ready to receive your letters or posts cards. Travel north, and there’s eels, lots of fish, and fan coral. Travel south, and the underwater scenery becomes even more dramatic with increasing depth.
