TBH I never pictured Four looking like Theo but I can totally get why they casted him. I would hate a character who "looked" like Four but did not capture his essence and I think Theo did a great job in portraying his personality!

Honestly, I thought it was bad. I mean, it was out of order, and nothing like the book. I think the book is way better.

This movie is 8 years old and it’s 2 thousand and fucking 22 and I’m still watching interviews from it all the time 😂😭

I can watch them for hours and never be bored! That's exactly what I do with the movie i just keep on rewatching it

I like how there's a debate about which films are better than others. Twilight, The Hunger Games, and Divergent are their own separate books and movies. Certain aspects were better than other but we need to stop comparing them and appreciate the literature and interpretation.

Even though this comment was ages ago I’m still gonna say it the debate is normally between the hunger games,divergent,and the maze runner since they are futuristic dystopia

I think he's perfect to play four guys! he may not physically match what we individually perceived to play the character but he seems to grasp that persona that tobias has of being masculine on the outside with a very vulnerable/endearing side to him on the inside so whatever to yall!

They're literally perfect! She has the long nose, she's small and I think she sounds very young, like tris. Theo is just amazing, his ears stick out like four. He has knotted eyebrows and his voice is just *_* THEY'RE PERFECT! :D

God guys, I mean honestly, do you expect to find a 16 year old girl and an 18 year old boy who is good enough to play the roles of these very important characters?! Everyone is like "god this movie is going to be so awful because they are too old and mature", I mean calm your tits. The Hunger Games, for example, Katniss is 16 and the actress who played her was 21 at the time and EVERYONE loved that movie. Twilight, Edward was suppose to be 17 and the actor that played him was like 23 at the time and no one complained about age (although it did have its flaws, but age was not one of them). So just calm down, it looks really good.

I hope it's a massive success! we need movies for insurgent and allegiant as well!

@@georgiahamilton4131 because they did the movies for insurgent and allegiant, but a lot of the fans actually don’t like it. They changed directors and used a different one for the last two movies and it was overall different, they changed details that fans would have rather seen, and the actual movie just wasn’t as good as the book or as we expected it to be. And the last movie just changed SO much. So i said it didn’t age well because all the fans were excited for the last movies expecting it to be amazing, and most were disappointed and didn’t like the outcome

I love Shailene and Theo's opinion about Divergent being as famous as THG and when she said it doesn't make sense, thinking about it like that. It's a very good thought.

I love the two of them. Although I didn't like them at first, but repeatedly watching the trailer and also having seen this video, I'm now in love with the two of them. I just love listening to Theo's voice, it's so Four and deep and hot. And Shailene is so cool, the way she sits laid back and talks very natural. She's not physically like Tris, but she's really something and I think she's perfect for the role. And I am just taken by how she looks at Theo, there's just a spark. :") It's very like Tris and Four. OMG they're just perfect I might not stop writing if I don't end this comment now.

Overall I liked the movie but I really wished some of the scenes they cut would've been in the film to help carry the weight of certain scenes and characters better and give those who hadn't read the book this depth that they missed out on.

James Troughton I know this is 4 days later but I just have to say this, Hunger Games strayed a lot from the books but Catching Fire was perfect and Mockingjay will be too because they changed the director and screenwriter. I wont comment on Twilight.

The Hunger Games may be like the book, but they aren't... whats the way of saying this, interesting or intriguing, like in the book you just cannot put it down, but with the hunger games movies, there's hardly any dialogue, it's rushed horribly, and it's just boring..

all of the changes of scenes/details and the castings were perfect. perfection omg. like zoe not fitting character descriptions of christina and the changes on some personalities and whatnot i can go on for now. like. everything fits together well

If I was Shai it would be so hard not trying to kiss Theo

LOVED THE MOVIE Disappointed that somethings weren't in it but its better then most movies that come after books. THIS WILL BE THE NEXT HUNGER GAMES/TWILIGHT

I think she meant that it's gonna be the same in success. Those 2 became huge succesful and famous movies, and Divergent is already a big hit and only came out a month ago :D can't wait for the sequel and I adore Theo and Shai they're amazing.

It's been 10 years and I've now only seen Divergent and it's already my favorite movie and I've fallen in love with these two actors.

Theo is how I pictured Four would look except he doesn't have his blue eyes or dark hair, but I think he'll be a good Four & Shailane will do Tris justice. I really HATE that Uriah isn't in the movie though!!

I know, Uriah should totally be in the first movie. He was one of Tris's closest friends, he is the one who's always there for her and who helped her fit in as a Dauntless and really shows what Dauntless born kids are like. plus he's the first raking on the dauntless born initiates. I mean Uriah brings humor to the book, he's bright even though he is a dauntless born. I don't know I just think he should totally be introduced in the first movie.

"He encompassed both strong masculine traits and some vulnerability." I think the way the team pulled this off was in the nuanced details -- more specifically Theo's expression through his eyes. Which is also very similar to how they show Shailene. The film guys/gals were able to capture nuance through eye movement....just enough to evoke another layer beneath.

i heard that tris is 18 and Tobias is 24 in the movie. if it's true then they fucked up the movie already. I think it makes it a lot better at 16 and 18 because there young and starting to become mature and the fact that they jump from normal life to blood shed and bodycounts it shows there strengths and how they can mature quickly for the sake of everyone's lives and there own. and if Tobias becomes 24 then his father abuse towards him changes it seems like that wouldn't be his fear anymore.

i must say, 18 and 24 is still really young. and when you haven't been able to live as who you are, even at 18, and any age you'll be erratic once you get to. and you can hold onto plenty of fears past the age of 24 - i don't think age is the point here.

Gaia Ogre No it is mostly blond but it is like...transitioning from blond to brown in the movie. I think thats a good mix and thats because she had to dye her hair.

I loved the book and the movie

Theo's voice is SO COOL.

Theo is right for the part I think, they just need to give him dark hair and blue eyes. Also if he can capture the depth of Four's character, that's also great! But Shailene, I don't know, she just doesn't seem vulnerable enough. I'm scared their going to change Tris' character too much like she's 100% total badass, which she is to a point, but she's still also super fragile, especially around Four. Also they better not rush the getting to like each other bit. If they cut any of the scenes of Four and Tris getting closer I'm gonna freak. I just really hope they play on the whole Tris likes Four and he slowly opens up to her, not just an instant attraction kinda thing.

No one they cast for movies is the same age as the book characters. Ever. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are in their 20s and their characters are 17. So no Theo doesn't look 18 but who cares? Why is that gonna make you think any less of this movie??
