Good review. I have this exact car car on order in silver with black interior. Looking forward to it! Would be interesting for you to compare this with Sportage and whether you can see much difference in the handling (Sportage has a local handling tune).

Thanks for another great balanced review. I have this very vehicle in Amazon Grey to pick up in two weeks time. Was interested to hear your thoughts on the noise of the diesel engine as it is at pretty stark opposite to the opinion from another site that had engine noise as one of the few criticisms. That had me mildly concerned as no diesel variant was available for me to test drive. In your opinion how was the ride quality on the 19" wheels with the 55 profile tyres?

@Wayne I found the engine noise perfectly acceptable, and I've owned and driven a lot of diesel cars. The driving experience was really good, and would be my chocie if I was buying a Tucson myself. I didn't find the ride uncomfortable at all.

Hi 😊 out of curiosity do you remember on the diesel version of when you changed the drive mode from say normal to sport did the display change like it does with the petrol version?

Great review. Could you please let me know why there is no wireless Android Auto/Apple Car Play in the highlander. Also, do you think wireless capabilities is exist in the system but it's disabled due to licensing or something and Can we expect wireless capabilities in future with a software upgrade. Thanks.

@Amit Kumar Thank you, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video. The Highlander models have a different infotainment system to the lower grade models, and loses the wireless capability that is standard on those models. I don't know if it can be retro fitted or added via a software update

Hey mate, I enjoyed your video. It's there a way to close off the sunroof to block the sun out completely?

@rogerperrett4337 Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The sunroof has an internal electric blind to block out the sun on hot days.

Good review ..... i have the Tucson Highlander diesel N-line and like you i do not find the engine noisy at all . Yes you can hear it is a diesel on take off and thru the first 4 gears ( it gets thru to 5th pretty quickly ) but once you are moving you hardly hear it , not sure what other reviewers were hearing when they said it was noisy . And as a side note i just looked at car sales SUV of 2021 and it appears they gave the award to the sportage and not the Tucson which whilst it is a nice enough car i don't think it looks anywhere near as good as the Tucson and most drivetrain and many other features are the same . To me the N-line package for $1000 extra is a no brainer especially with the colour coded wheel arches as the plastic arches on ALL other SUVs makes them look cheap and crappy...... but maybe that is just me.

@clifford mitchell Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s always a bit confusing as to why a car wins an award, but it’s only their opinion I guess. I’d go for the ‘N-Line’ pack aswell if I was buying a Tucson, like you say it improves the look of the car massively.

Hyundai should have made a Tucson N with AWD and an 8DCT.

@@WebbyOnCars The Tucson N would have had 213kW from a 2.5 litre turbo 4cyl with AWD, mated to an 8DCT. Some rumours said it could go up to around 250kW of power. Sadly, Hyundai never made it at the end.

@@WebbyOnCars The Tucson N would have been a rival to the Volkswagen Tiguan R or Cupra Ateca.

Can we expect one to last 300k kilometres without any major issues? I am looking for a reliable car to replace my old but sturdy Camry.

@dipro001 That's a difficult thing to predict. As long as you service it correctly, it will definitely help. The diesel engine is the best choice in my opinion
