Diva Starz were a peculiar line of robot dolls from the technology-obsessed early 2000s. With their arguably creepy designs, they could talk and interact with you in unique ways. While a nostalgic relic of the past today, there's an interesting story behind how and why the dolls evolved, including controversies, outrage and fights between doll companies. There's also a variety of lost media, including the online webisodes and games, and a mysteriously cancelled animated series. Today on strawberry sprite, I'm looking through all of that and reminiscing on this forgotten little franchise.
