Bhavnagri gathiya is a very famous traditional Gujarati snack. It is also called as farsan. It is made from Besan (Gram flour) and some typical spices. This recipe is perfect for making very tasty, fresh, soft and crisp gathiya at home. In Gujarat, fafda gathiya, Bhavnagari Gathiya, vanela gathiya and makhaniya gathiya are a few famous varieties. Make this gathiya, गांठिया, गाठिया, ગાંઠીયા at home and enjoy!!

Ingredients:
Besan/Chickpea flour /बेसन (2 cups) ( 250 gms )
Oil /तेल ( 1/2 cup & for frying)
Water (3/4 cup)
Baking Soda (बेकिंग सोडा ) ( 1/2 tsp)
Black pepper (काली मिर्च ) ( 1.5 tsp) (coarsely ground )
Carom Seeds (अजवायन ) ( 1 tsp)
Salt /नमक - 1.5 tsp or as per taste
Asafoetida /हिंग (1/6 tsp)

Archana, thanks for your appreciation. You'll have to experiment with dough in the food processor. Any excessive running of the machine could make gathiya hard. It would be hit and trial!!

Virbalaben, rice flour ka batane ke liye bahut bahut dhanyawad..agli baar se rice flour bhi add karoongi
