Tbh, this song has made me rethink how I thought about everything these past months, I left all of my friends because I thought that would be the escape is to leave the life I thought I was trapped in but instead my friends were the ones who were the key to my escape, but leaving them is like throwing the key away to a locked cell and being trapped with your guilt. I started fights with them just so that I had no way to comeback to stop myself from going back because its what I thought I wanted but it was the opposite and even if I tried to heal it, its already crumbling from the damage I have done and there is no supporting it to keep it from falling. Sorry for the rambling but I just needed to destress.

I'm 37. I was born in 1985. This song hits deep. I remember when we did actually lived instead of watching life and there was no internet or "online". Life was beautiful before social media. We had real human connections that were valuable because our entire world consisted of the town we lived in. Everyone talked to each other all the time. We treated friends and loved ones because we didn't have the option to replace them with fake strangers online. Social media is a disease. I used to have so many friends. All the kids would gather in the same spots around the same time each day. If we missed each other then we just walked around or rode our bikes. We used to play massive games of his and seek that spanned the whole neighborhood. Few yards had fences so we could run in between houses. Everyone knew each other. We got exercise. None of us were fat.

It totally hit me today, when he says “you move like an electric zombie” he’s talking about people walking around slowly one step at a time looking at their device instead of looking up

If they didn't upload the lyrics, it would basically defeat their purpose to get the message to the sheeple. There are some who wont hear it unless it's read. Sinks it into the subconscious a bit better and you can actually take the message for its intention. Disturbed is the shit!

Why would it be on the radio? It's anti corporate agenda.

The way he says "AN ELECTRIC ZOMBIE!" is fucking awesome. David is my favorite singer by far because of moments like those. The feeling in those words are actually... well... electric XD

Evolution has a lot messages that we as a society need take seriously! It's clear to me that Disturbed is trying to open our eyes to what's going on in our sick world and that we are the only ones responsible for fixing the mess

Love this almost as much as "The Best Ones Lie". This one is a bit like "Disillusioned" by A Perfect Circle. Also a great companion song to your "Sound of Silence" cover.

"Disillusioned" came to my mind as well, as I listened to / read this song. Both are spot on about having time off social media & tech.

Perfect song for the life we are living today..There was a time Smile with the sun and Dance in the moon light 😊

I’m lucky enough to have paid for a meet and greet. I’m from their hometown of Chicago. I’m pumped to meet and greet them in January. I think once the show starts I’ll keep my phone in my pocket and enjoy some good music. Instead of uploading pictures to Instagram and Snapchat, etc.

It was still true before, it's just that the purveyors of what life you got to watch were far more power concentrated.

So damn true..thats exactly what is happening..

This is a great song. It speaks of the control of technology on our lives and makes us slaves to our phones,TV s, etc. We need to get out a bit more and start exploring where we live. Adventure around and get to know what's around. There's more than what meets the eye.

Crazy how their lyrics are literally exactly how I feel. From ones like this regarding how this world is to exactly how I feel losing my mother last year& all the thoughts that have been through my head..all my feelings, thoughts , beliefs in their lyrics.
