I love Disturbed for the message that they try to convey through their music. It sounds violent but the message it carries is full of peace. Wonderful band!

My best guess would be that how early in there career they were in a sea of 'angry metal' bands that all had a kinda similar sound. But they've very much refined their style over the years, finding the right balance between anger and message.

​@@gffjjuu2697 Yea I agree with that. They found something that speaks to the lowest common denominator and they just keep reprinting it, essentially. It's not bad, but it's not original either. They've always done great covers, though. I'll give them that.

There are few bands that still remain relevant and manage to put out amazing music. I'm 46 and Disturbed has been my favorite band since I heard Down With the Sickness! You guys manage to keep your sound, amazing tone yet throw in new sounds. The timing & message are aligned perfectly 🥰

This song is about getting rid of the complacency in your life, the thing that keeps you under water. The thing that you know is bad for you but you do it anyway cause it's easy and convient. You know that if you just did away with it your life would improve but we don't cause we're complacent and even obsessive. The closest mirror reveals the true enemy staring back at you

There is something so hauntingly beautiful about the screenshot of this comment string. I remember being 13 years old listening to the indestructible album in that time I used to get bullied about my weight so I would workout to disturbed for hours. 12 years later I am 25 in the best shape of my life it feels like they came back in a more evolved version of myself. Have to say, I was so pumped when the new album dropped. But I have to say thank you to entire band as well, you guys taught me to look in to the face of my monster and harness it. They met with fire marshals hours before going on trying to figure out a way they could do it even to a small degree but no agreement could be made. He was pissed about it and voiced his displeasure, but I guess the acoustical shell that surrounds the stage just wouldn’t allow for it

It really does and honestly I waited and waited and heard the rumor that Disturbed was getting back together back in 2015 I kept telling everybody at work how excited I was and everything and then good morning I woke up and I got a notification from Apple music at the time saying disturb has released a new single I wake up every morning usually the drive hour and a half 2 hours to where I work as American firefighter I downloaded it while I was taking a shower and I hit the truck and I probably played it at least seven times on my way to work that morning it also kind of feels and hits the same because that was the first song they came out with when they had got back together or at least released this song has that same feel sort of because I wasn't a huge fan of Evolution at first. It took a while for it to grow on me at first I wanted to throw it away so this is the first song that I'm getting after Evolution and it gives me that same feeling that I got when I heard them for the first time back together. Disturbed is back motherfuckers... And with a message.

My gut said go and I went … now it feels like I’m fully recovered and a message you made during your performance really hit home. As a side note, The Sickness is an overrated album. The 1st like 4 tracks are hard & great, yeah, but after that all the tracks on the album were very repetitive & boring, and had almost no meaning to them, & the album had Zero guitar solos or ballads or variety. Meaning of Life, which should've been named Psycho, was good & Dropping Plates was funny sure & their cover of Shout (2000) was good, but other than that meh. But, Disturbed has never been like Death Metal! Which I like about them, they're understandable! And accessible, for anyone wondering about metal/hard rock. I like this song! Awesome verses! & the chorus is growing on me. It deserves more credit. Honestly, Disturbed deserves more credit, and more open-minded fans.

I myself think like that of most bands, until at least one song gets me hooked. If they do that, i start hearing other songs and determine if they are good. I knew disturbed because of down with the sickness, then I listened to indestructible, and that was it. Got hooked. Amazing guys and very good music.

Bought this record at Walmart having not really listened to disturbed that much besides their biggest hits and WOW I was blown away, it’s definitely the best album I’ve listened to in a long time

This band is a forever favorite of mine. As well as just the idea I highly respect. To get up on here and be upset about things, but to not be an upset person. What really makes them upset is to see us let ourselves down. Much like myself I don't get mad at what people do just the way they think.

I have taken my 67 year old mother to 2 separate Disturbed concerts since they started again because she has been listening to them with me since they started when I was in high school. :) age doesn't stop you from enjoying amazing music!

From making edgy music "Down with the sickness" to sending out messages that need to be heard by everyone. This song is now my new favourite. Thanks to my dad I listen to disturbed from the age of 6. I was a rap guy, thanks to my dad I changed my preferred taste in music and I don't regret it :D Hopefully someday, we will all hear these messages

Disturbed the band who never lost touch with their true art as the decades progressed yet have adapted to incorporate new styles with their traditional sound. This is a testament to all the other bands out there. Still dropping f-ing bangers like plates baby 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

@@streetracer1086 might just be me but i felt like shinedown lent a bit too far into politics with planet 0, really turned me off to em tbh and they're one of the first bands that hot me into rock and metal (them and sabaton) but very glad Disturbed are still killing it with great messages AND great music

Even their music that some have claimed wasasell out, like The Light and Reason to Fight are awesome!! Plus, David has said in numerous interviews that those songs about addressing societal issues that important to them and the biggest thing for them is being to like what they see when they look in the mirror!! This song is further proof!! I love the fact that are old school in making videos because they really bring the message of the songs alive!!!

Disturbed hasn’t sounded like this since Asylum (2012). Finally…they’re moving back to their roots. Let’s take it back to Indestructible (2008), or even better, Ten Thousand Fists (2005).

Thank you, Disturbed. You literally turned my day. Before listening this I was upset, tired and angry. Now I still feel something, but it's under control. Thank you so much!

Got on board with the Believe album, went back and got into Sickness, and have loved everything since. I've seen them at LEAST over a dozen times. They are easily my favorite Rock/Metal band. Oh, and I'm 49. Not all of us Gen X peeps are stuck in the 80's (though being a musician, I love all kinds of music)

One of the best bands ever.

I remember when my sisters boyfriend at the time when I was just a teenager, gave me their first album The sickness and ever since they have been one of my go-to bands 11 years later, they got me thorugh some hard times. So glad they are still sticking to their style of metal today, please never change! ROCK ON!

Over 20 years and still going, still remember watching them at the small venues like the Roseland in Portland Oregon... Love how they still keep the same energy with all their original stuff as well as their amazing covers.

@Omar Yañez Zavala Saw them at the fox theater in Detroit when 10,000 fists was out. They have that extra element live that they never pick up recording on the album. If you haven't saw them live I suggest to check them out at least one.

First Ozzfest I went to at SPAC there was this new Band performing on a side stage aka the lawn. They played three songs for anyone there early enough to catch them. Voices, down with the sickness and stupified! That’s when it all started for me. They hadn’t even released their first album yet.

I can't wait for them to go on tour again. They get better each time I see them.

Alcohol is not a problem, our generation that is upcoming is in need of help

@@ax1054 so as you suggest eberyone has an opinion you then state the "truth" disturbed is extremely distanced from normalcy in their genre. There were only a few bands with some similar qualities who survived the early 2000's. Disturbed speaks on real struggles and does it in a methodical way with davids unique vocals following the drum patterns.

I just knew this would be good, before the song even released. Disturbed never disappoints. Can't wait for the new album date being announced! ♡

New to Disturbed.....now a fan. I get ticked off at reviewers who refer to your vocals on some pieces as "screaming" That pure voice always comes through with your masterful control. As a special celebration for my birthday ( I turn 80 in Oct) I got tickets to the performance for me and my 16 year old granddaughter for August. I am sure I will embarrass her no end...So look for the octogenarian making her granddaughter blush in Burgettstown

I'm an old school headbanger at the time metal was banned by society... but these guys are awesome they're years on the road very honest in what they do, great quality music with a lot of potential I really like this band

This video brought me to tears because I cannot understand why we can't achieve the very ending this video has. It's a perfect demonstration that the People are being pitted against each other while the "leaders" on both sides get off on it.

I need to thank you of the deepest corner of my heart that you exist and express your art. I would once again got mad without your music and texts that save me from insanity. To be nice nowerdays is seen as something really bad and to use, but i refuse to change. I will try to be myself until my last day. Your text help me to see hope and think through humans toxic behaviours.

I’ve always been a fan of Disturbed, the sickness is a classic heavy metal album as far as I’m concerned! The past 5-6 years, since releasing a perfect cover of the sound of silence, (might even be better than the original) they really have been a tour de force. This song is brutal, really heavy riffs, great lyrics, it has built my hopes up, can’t wait to hear more from Disturbed in the near future.

@@codenamescarletfox I'm a big fan of Disturbed, but I'm also a big fan of classic rock. The original Simon and Garfunkel version of Sound of Silence is one of my most favorite songs. When I heard Disturbed did a cover of it, although I am a big fan, I clinched my teeth and readied myself to be hugely disappointed at what they may have done with it when I first listened to it....... My disappointed though was surprisingly totally blown away with their version. Music taste is very subjective, but I have to disagree with you, because I believe Disturb did indeed improve the song and introduced it to a whole new audience. As for your comment about it being "over produced" and the use of autotune.... You obviously haven't seen them do it live. Disturbed is all right man.. but if you want to hear a real cover of sound of silence check out boba flex... If you want to hear a good cover of "hey you" by PF, check out bobaflex.. it's sad when bands have to rely on covers because they have no originality of their own the sickness was their best album and they will never top it. When bands like bad wolf and five finger death Punch or the norm I'll get out my 33 RPM and listen to real music. Jmo.

I’m 61, and this is a KICK ASS song. I bow to David’s unbelievable vocals and the band’s incredible playing. I’m, almost 😅, not worthy.

Disturbed always release new music when the world needed it the most

I'm getting an Immortalized vibe from this, but there's little bits in the delivery that remind me of Evolution. I suppose that's one of the greatest strengths of Disturbed. Their music evolves, yet remains immediately identifiable. They haven't lost their roots, but aren't held back by them either. All that aside, a very apt track for this day & age.

Agreed. But try to listen a band called I PREVAIL they have really good songs like Bow down, scars, theres fear in letting go, Bad things and body bag.

Disturbed is like fine wine they grow sweeter with time this band has only gotten better the last 10 years, they have always been good but they have only grown to be better

Such a good band but I can never really pinpoint what it is about them that keeps me hooked. Riffage? Songwriting? Groove? It's a weird thing but I just dig them. And they are always on play for workouts.

It's called having an entire band of massively talented musicians and songwriters working together to create masterpieces. I don't think that there are many bands out there that have the amount of appeal and chemistry that these guys do. It changes it from a job to a passion, which reflects within their product and to their fans.

When I found out that Disturbed released this new song, it really made me excited. It's definitely a great feeling when your favorite band of all time releases new music, especially if they haven't released anything in a while. I love the harsh vocals, the instruments and how meaningful the lyrics are.

My opinion.......instrumentally, it's sounds exactly like Disturbed. Lyrically, it's not up to par with songs they've written before. It sounds a bit repetitious BUT it is their first single in several years so I wouldn't expect it to be perfect

I absolutely love how they frame breaking "belief perseverance" as a victory rather than a defeat. This whole album is on another level.

This is America today, fighting with itself for the entertainment of a few Sadists. The sad part of it is you take those helmets off of people and they have no idea how to think in any other way.
