Distribution of Land Titles and Turnover of Support Services in Region VIII 5/20/2024

Realizing the ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ vision to empower the agriculture sector, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. continues the distribution of land titles and turnover of support services to farmers in Region VIII (Eastern Visayas) as he proceeds to the Tacloban City Convention Center in Tacloban City on May 20, 2024.
According to the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), a total of 5,438 land titles are set to be distributed for the Region. Of this number, 5,400 are electronic titles issued under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project while 38 are Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). These form part of the 7,914 hectares of land located in several towns in Leyte, Biliran, Southern Leyte, Western Samar, Eastern Samar and Northern Samar, benefitting around 5,906 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).
The Department further states that PhP509.45 million worth of support services interventions are set to be distributed to the ARB organizations and communities, consisting of farm-to-market roads, PBBM bridges (Pang-Agraryong Tulay para sa Bagong Bayanihan ng mga Magsasaka), irrigation projects, farm machinery and equipment.
