Distribution in Ruby Backdam/ Jonesy needs help with house

Ойын-сауық

Ruby Backdam is becoming very populated with squatters and we decided to explore it and distribute some items to the residents. We were surprised at the development that was taking place; good road, the trenches being cleared, and bridges being built. The agricultural area has electricity and recently benefitted from potable water. Massive development is taking place because apparently the road connecting the highway from the Demerara Harbour Bridge would pass through there.
We also visited Jonesy, who is taking care of a nine-year-old girl after her mother abandoned her as a baby. He is living in a dilapidated house and some sections were recently repaired after we highlighted it. But now he suffers constant flooding and wants to move out of the area. He has a house lot and is asking for some help to build a house. He also wants the girl to get an opportunity to go oversea so she can have a better life.

Great outreach work. Heard about Ruby but was never privilege to visit. Your video captures some historic facts of the area.Has its own history of early pioneering and Uncle Shamir gave a rich account of how it all started and developed. One of the best kept secret. Simple life nestled in nature. What more can anyone ask for. Thanks for sharing.Allah Hafiz.

It must be a very beautiful and rewarding experience for you throughout this journey and be able to assist in whatever way you can, along with the generous donors. It's a nice place and I hope that in time, it's going to be more development and accessibility for the residents. Uncle and Aunty by the school should get a community group where everyone can assist in whatever way they can. One example would be to help with the cleaning of the wood ants, the bird vines since uncle isn't able to do so because I'm sure anyone would be benefiting from those fruit trees. Jonsey is a good inspiration. He has shown tremendous perseverance in taking care of Arianna. Her friend is wonderful to be allowing her to stay over whenever needed. I wish the entire Ruby Backdam residents a vibrant and productive community in the near future 🙏 ❤❤❤💯💯💯💪💪🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for your comment. I was surprised at the development in Ruby Backdam. You’re right, the ants and the bird vine need to be addressed. Jonesy is trying but as his age and with health issues, he can’t do much.

I love what you do, but we have to take care of our Guyanese citizens first. Too many old people and GT families need the help. Venzees , are taking our resources and jobs away.

Thank you for your comment. But I am taking care of our own people. In this case, the Venezuelans are living among the Guyanese and I can’t leave them out

@@rajandseema123 Thank you so much, I try to highlight it as well as to make a different. But of course, I don’t do it alone, I rely on donors as well. You’re absolutely correct about the poverty here and about the conditions of the elderly people. Please feel free to contact me on: 592-608-7116

There are no modern infrastructure to support government service in many areas of the country. We should think there is where some of the funds are going

They are not poor..they are lazy and want to sit in Hammock and collect oil money.... Oil money is for the development of the country first ...creating employment and tourism the the people will get what they want...
