Haven't seen the Battle of the Sexes special in a long time until now. This was before the shopping segment is retired.

@@spwash1000 In all honesty, the "shopping" for prizes by that point had become outdated and they should've dropped that format for the daytime show too (and the cash prize could've been either $5,000 or $10,000)

Within mere weeks of this episode - the contestants were playing for $25,000 cash 99% of the time in Bonus Land instead of $20,000 like this episode as shopping was dropped in favor of the all-cash format which is used to this day.
