It never fails to amaze me how nice the whole process is. Basically one can tell by the color of the fluid ( bright orange) and then the powder almost a coppery brown. This is going to be a beautiful gold pour.

I've been watching your videos for about a year now. I'm glad I did. This process also works really well in purifying copper. I needed pure copper for a project and this allowed me to use junk copper I acquired legally from many different sources. Thanks. This is a lot easier than the other more energy intensive method of melting the copper. Im not even sure if melting it would purify it either because it was alloyed to begin with.

Hey Kevin you should try and making a supersaturated solution of SMB and taking your gold-bearing solution and drip the SMB via a addition funnel one drop at a time and watch to see if it starts coming out of solution all at once or if it actually does a complete flashover and you'd want it to be sitting on a stir bar plate stirring when you're dripping that into the gold

SIR! I simply love it! Interesting and coincidental how just a few hours ago I'd been trying to clear up the issue of excess nitric on the GRF. And most of the stuff you do ; incremental dosages of nitric to avoid the excess and also the evaporation technique you just carried out helped in clearing out the basic understanding of how its done. It almost seems like you read the issue there and felt like doing a video on it to make it easy for your viewers. The seniors on that forum are just great with theoretical knowledge and your videos just sum it all up. THANKYOU VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL! ❤

Gold dissolved in aqua regia shouldn’t be boiled. It should be evaporated slowly to a syrup then rehydrated with HCl. This is how I learned it from professional refiners on the goldrefiningforum.com - the lid on the beaker prevents gold droplets from flying out of the beaker. Of course, the best way to denoxx is to add just the right amount of nitric so there none in the gold solution.

You might have dissolved it out of the puck, to send it into your Au waste volume. When you recover the Au from that waste Au stream, boil off most of the water and keep the liquid volume after you SMB treat that. That condensed liquid volume should get added to your PGM filter paper workup, once that’s all been calcined and taken up by acid. (Chuckle). ‘ Sunday going to meeting’ melt dish. 1 g difference?
