I just remembered the time some friends and I heard a deep, resonant growl when we were out in the woods one time at night. It was incredible. It was the scariest thing I've ever experienced, but at the same time thrilling. It's one of those things I'll just never know what it was.

We have to remember that gorillas were considered mythical beasts up until 1902. Great discussion!

With the hair and beard I think Jimmy could be mistaken for a Sasquatch, in the woods on a dusky evening with mist swirling about....

Also, there are many accounts of people watching bigfoots 'disappear' into thin air. So if they are able to do that, maybe that's why they are so rarely seen.

That the host said the one he saw was the exact same color as its surroundings makes me wonder if they have some kind of chameleon ability. Can a furry creature even do that, though?

Since many witnesses describe a face with a chin, and a nose that has a bridge - however flat a bridge - they seem to be describing a hominid rather than an ape. This would make going out and shooting a specimen for dissection morally problematic.
