--CHARLIE BANANA SWIM DIAPERS--
The Charlie banana swim diaper otherwise known as the “Reusable Easy Snaps Swim Diaper,” is made from a 100% polyurethane shell, an all-natural fabric called Tencel, and lined with organic cotton. This diaper is waterproof and will contain messes while the baby is wearing it. If you use disposable swim diapers they will function exactly the same way as reusable swim diapers. Both types of diapers will contain poo but not urine when immersed in water.
There is stretchy elastic around the waist, back, and the legs and you can either pull the diaper up like regular underwear or snap from the front. There are two side snaps on each side of the diaper. These are “SIZED” reusable swim diapers and you will need to purchase different sizes as your baby grows. The benefit to this is you are more likely to get a custom fit, especially if you have a rather small or large baby.
This diaper fit Asher better than the Extraordinary Training Pants from Charlie Banana and the Charlie Banana swim diaper could possibly double as training pants too. It’s not as absorbent as a training diaper but does offer some absorbency for light leaks. I really like that Charlie Banana has many options to choose from when it comes to prints and colors. I like that the inner lining (the part that touches baby) is made from organic cotton as some babies have very sensitive skin. I try to look for more eco-friendly options when I shop to limit the number of pesticides that are used. I would prefer this diaper to be manufactured locally but I am also aware that the cost would go up as well. I am still waiting to see how this diaper holds up to a poo explosion, stay tuned for those results folks!
--REUSABLE SWIM DIAPERS--
Reusable swim diapers are lightweight-tighter fitting diapers that can be used again and again for swimming or water-play. They’re usually made without any extra padding and work to contain poopy accidents that may occur in the pool.
Some Swim Diapers will have a little padding that’ll help with light leaks when getting to the pool. They won’t contain full-on accidents though unless it’s poo.
Just like disposable swim diapers, reusable swim diapers DO NOT contain urine!

It may be because you put it all in the back of the swim diaper id recommend trying this again but first spray the water in and then put it on your kid and see make sure the water covers mostly the middle :)

This has me thinking, if water goes in and out it doesnt really matter if the poop stays in or not, the pool is going to be contaminated.

My parents who have 7 children(2 of them are in diapers/training pants still)do cloth diapers… and have actually found themselves that Huggies Little Swimmers actually for some reason hold more than a reusable swimmer. But that’s just their experience😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. BTW I would say if you do this test again with a boy do it more towards the front of the swim diaper and for a girl do it more towards the middle. If you try the test for number two but with like play dough then put it in the back since that’s where they do the number twos

I like the Thirsties one the best because you can size it up or down. Charlie banana is a close second cause you can buy the exact size for your child’s waist. Good luck mama!

I taught school. It happens and cloths were rinsed then sent home in a plastic bags. Working with special needs linens were washed. Kids clothes were washed. The most memorable was my oldest ate something and in a car seat diarrhea was up to her neck. That Bernie Mac scene was real when he washed off his daughter at a gas station with the hose 😂
