You've not upset anyone. Only a small group of collectors would find anything wrong with repairing your own toys. If you only worry about the worth of your collection, like many on echo base do, then you are collecting for the wrong reason. I would not worry at all what they have to say about your own personal collection and what you do with it. The end result looks great, and you had fun doing it, that is what matters the most. Keep on enjoying your toys and making videos. Leave the sort of collectors who don't like this to argue amongst themselves.

I couldn't have said it better myself! I do understand where they are coming from but I only wanted MY figures to look as good as possible when on display. The Echo Base admins seem most annoyed that I took the old, cracked and faded stickers off. So what? Honestly, I guess I shall have to continue loving and collecting vintage Star Wars, as I have done since 1978, without being able to access Echo Base, I think I can live with that🙂

Looks real good man. I have all these guys from my childhood. I remember going to a little store a few blocks away and picking each one up every so often when I could get the money together. Looking at your collection here takes me back to those fond memories.

Great set-up but you need to swap the Luke's around as the yellow hair was the first release, the dark hair was the ROTJ version.

Yeah I'm a vintage collector have the entire set loose apart from Luke Stormtrooper (finding one with the correct solid black gun is a nightmare!) and have around 25 MOC graded AFA 85 or higher. Have around half the playsets and vehicles as well. Really want to finish off the collection before prices getting any crazier!

They banned me for the content of the video, specifically removing and replacing the sticker, not for promoting the video on Facebook. It's now not a big deal, so little of my traffic comes from there, less than 3% of all traffic. It is one of many, many Star Wars groups. It's a shame but hey, ho. Totally innocent mistake but they took offence so that's it, banned🙂

Absolutely love this!!! I want this stand so bad, Hasbro really needs to rerelease this beautiful stand especially with the Retro Figures being such a hit! Everytime I see this on eBay its expensive even beat up! I remember Kenner re released it with their glamorgirls mini dolls as my sister had them (but not the stand sadly) but can't find it either! Ie China or Anyone 3D printing bootlegs of this or anything? And the middle 4 should be the Early Bird Kit 4 Luke, Leia, Chewie and my all time favorite R2D2 (Artoo Detoo) IMO! I lost Chewies gun in the grass, drove me bats and never found it. Lost Leia's gun and...(deep breath) I stole one out of the bubble at a Murphy's which I had seen open bubbles with missing guns at other stores which gave me the idea. I'll never ever forget that night- I was a nervous wreck and was terrified at any second cop cars would fly up our driveway, lights flashing and guns drawn to haul my criminal self away! I distinctly remember Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1979 version premiered on TV and I had been excited for weeks to watch it and I could barely concentrate I was so worried. I promised God I'd never steal another thing again and seriously debated coming clean to my parents and asking them to drive me back to Murphys store to return the gun and so I could turn myself in and prepare for jail time. I was sure everyone would see it and know instantly I stole it; no one did, nor know or care that I'd even most the first one. Luckily nothing happened, and after a few more sleepless nights I finally realized the police probably had more urgent matters to attend to. I never told anyone - other than the whole world just now - so hopefully your channel gets good views from my admission of a criminal Star wars figure accessory junkie! ;-) And the terror and guilt I felt that terrible evening and days after did insure I would NEVER turn to a life of crime. I even eventually sent Kenner an entire $1 dollar bill asking if I coukd please get a replacement Chewbacca gun and any other weapons with any off the left over change ...and a PS begging to know what was the strange tall blue Snaggletooth looking figure in the Sears catalog that I had never been able to find in stores??? ...No response on Blue Snaggletooth, but ok and behold weeks later they did send me a baggie full of guns, lightsabers and yes, the much desired Chewbacca gun and even...a Princess Leia pistol. I think I may have helped start the Survival Kit idea at Kenner, but shows what a wonderful company they were especially in the mind of this ~11 year old boy. Not sure what triggered the flood of nostalgia, and hope no one minds me sharing, and I'm sure every one who was- and still is - a Star Wars figure loving kid- has his or her own stories vividly recalled. Thanks for the video of the stand, and the memories. :-)

Great memories, thanks for sharing them. Losing guns was pretty common back in the day. I also lost a Princess Leia gun I'm our back garden but managed to find it again after about a week of looking! The display stand is great, just a little hard to track down. A great idea if it could be re-released 🙂

Im literally about to lose my mind trying to decide if i want to be a carded or uncarded collector. Uncarded has better display options and fun to set them on the shelf but carded is more challenging to find brings more value. Anyone have any ideas to help me decide?

You'll get more satisfaction, I think, collecting them loose to begin with. If you complete that, in say a year or so, move onto carded then🙂

AFG told me about what happened! Pretty ridiculous if you ask me! The display base was in rather shoddy condition and looks far more snappy with the clean-up! Very petty if you ask me!
