Took my little brother this past Friday. He had a blast and I loved it as well. The only thing that put a damper on our trip (besides getting our wheelchair stolen and the west half of the Park suffering a power outage) was the thought at the back of my mind how easy things used to be. When I went in 2018, there was no mobile ordering, virtual queue, Fast-Pass was still a thing, and so much more. I love you guys and your videos, been watching for a couple years now. But after having experienced Disney (probably for the last time), I don't know how you do it. ❤

So few rides in a little over 8 hours 😂. You guys are so chill. We usually stay around 11 hours and get 20-25 rides in per day utilizing genie+.

Only at Disneyland using the genie plus, in one day there was 5 breakdowns (buzz twice before and on the ride, haunted mansion while the ride but was fixed, rise of the resistance, before getting in line, and lastly the new ride micky and minnies railroad right before getting on.) It was insane just because the day before we had a perfect day at DCA

This video highlights the SEVERELY underappreciated benefit of Genie+. I mean imagine some of those people that had to stand in the regular standby queue for such a long time and right before they can ride, it has to close and people have to be evacuated and escorted off. I love that if that happens to Genie+ purchasers, you can still skip another ride.

Saving this to review again before we go in June. We purchased Genie+ for each day we are there. It's a little confusing to me so this helped A LOT!

Nice video… Katie’s laugh is infectious. 😂 I just hate how you need a manual to enjoy the parks now. (I used to work at the parks for over ten years.) They have overcomplicated and penny-pinched every system and service to such an unnecessary degree. I miss the old Disney more and more. It was somewhat poetic when Maleficent burnt down on Saturday, almost signaling how the company is going down the tube.

Dumbo is not a LL attraction. Also Matterhorn is in Fantasyland and is a LL attraction. You don't have to scan everyone's LL in. If you have guests that do not want to ride you can cancel their LL in the app. No need to go to guest services. The Multiple Experience Pass is tiered, so a Thunder MEP would not allow you to book the Guardians attraction or something like Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Indiana Jones and ILL attraction. Video should be about how bad operations are at right now at the Disneyland Resort.

actually I Believe you can use your multi experience pass, and still book a Genie+ for the same ride. In theory if the ride comes back up you could book you LL for Thunder mountain, still have an unused multipass, and get right back on thunder mountain

Does Disney automatically enter the multiple experience pass on your phone?

Can you recommend which plan my family should get? We are a family of 3. I definitely want to do the plan. We live 8 hours away but I foresee us going to Disneyland every 3 months. We would plan ahead. I know 3 years ago or more now we had a pass but but the most expensive because we live far away. I know you both are definitely experts so I’d love your advice. Also if you know how much it would be monthly. :)

So lightening lane is diff then genie plus? I went in January this year and I was able to do the rides multiple times after a few hours except for the Al a crate ex. radiator springs etc? I’m a little confused we are going as a group of 14 this week and I’m unsure what to do

For the Multi Experience lightning lane when the rides go down during your selected time, be sure to read the list of attractions you can use it for. The cast member told us we couldn't use it for high tier rides. If you click on it, you can see which ones. We had one for Big Thunder when it went down and we were able to use it for Haunted Mansion instead. We also got one when Indiana Jones went down but because it was originally the ride we selected for lightning lane we were still able to use the Multiple Experience even though it's a high tier ride. The list of attractions you can use it for varies during the time of the year.

Do you have to ask for a multi-experience pass when a ride breaks down, or is it automatically issued to you?

Seems like "wasting lightning lane" isn't a good description. What if I could use 3 lightning lanes back to back at 8am, 8:45, and 9:30am, with one standby in between? Each of those lightning lanes might have only saved me 10 minutes, but I still use my 4th for a major attraction later in the day to also save the 30-45 minutes. Eventually converting to the 2 hour wait, and/or back to back once again.

i have yet to purchase genie+ i don't think i could spend that extra money on it but great tips and updates!

Hey! They can sell out quickly depending on the crowd level each day. When you want to purchase the individual lightning Lane: once you are scanned into the park… You can just search for the attraction on the Disneyland app, and then you’ll see the option to purchase right there and it will share the available time if it’s available. We would suggest buying it as soon as you can.

You can all buy the genie pass individually, and make individual reservations for different rides. The only bad thing is if the reservation for the fast pass are all booked there wont be any available. Subject to availability. When i went with my daughter i was only able to book one ride to skip through the line. The rest of the rides weren’t available on the genie pass. We did have a late start and it was in August when there was a lot of tourist.

Does anyone know if they will resume the sales of the Enchant key sometime this year. Today is 6/20/2023 and as of right now, they are sold out. Will they go back on sale again this year at some point?

What’s the stand by lane you mention? I didn’t understand that.

How do you recommend doing cars as it's always busy? Last time we thought we were near the front of the rope drop and it took 2 hours! We have a park hopper so will only be in DA for the morning. I don't want to pay for the extra LL. Thanks 😊

More than likely no. Whenever you’re given a Multi Experience pass, it will show you which attractions apply

What's the deal with all the ride break downs? Is it some strategy that they do on purpose? It seems like it happens a lot. I felt like there were constant break downs for us when we went to Magic Kingdom in Nov in Orlando. It's pretty frustrating.

I just bought a Disney Key and I didn’t realize that you couldn’t hook Disney genie+ before you get scanned into the park. As someone who is a planner (flexible when I need to be) I hate that concept. Especially since you shared that genie+ can sell out and attraction times sell out too.

Lol. I can’t speak for every time, but they gave a multi experience pass to every person that was in line both times yesterday, genie or not. So I guess the genie users got to go twice is the ride reopened! Haha

No Gimbal or selfie stick, just a small hand held tripod.

I get that “things happen” but this seems like a lot of ride breakdowns in one day. Disney is really slacking in that department lately and it’s frustrating to see. It’s a waste of peoples time and money when they’re not maintaining rides like they should be. Not saying they’re not doing their job, I just feel like these breakdowns are happening more frequently than what should be considered acceptable.

Fast passes seemed more fair. People with a lower-income may not necessarily be able to afford genie plus which means they would have to wait and all the longest lines because you choose to favor the higher-income people who can afford genie plus and that's really unfair Disney. Aaaw her laugh really is contagious!

The runaway railroad is not worth the $20, it never has a line in the morning.
