I was there while they were filming that episode of Full House in the GF lobby. Got a picture with John Stamos and watched from the second floor looking down at them filming for about 3 hours. It was great!!

Molly, I identify with you on "Feed the Birds". On my first trip to London, I went on my own pilgrimage to St. Paul's Cathedral, to sit on the steps where "the little old bird woman comes". It was such a wonderful moment.

You might say those Egg displays were eggsquisid. On another note... There are some other fun details to note at the flo. There's a nice photo op with Cinderella's slipper on the upper floor of the lobby. Also by the grand staircase, there's a lot of nods to Cindy in the carpet, of note, her carriage.

Can we have a big shout out to Alan for always making note on the texture of the food! Texture is a big thing for me so I love that he makes us aware before we try it. Thank you Alan ❤️

The Grand Floridian is just the definition of luxuriating. I always visit this resort whenever I can, just for some of the fancy treat yo self vibes. I’m so happy y’all got to finally do a staycation here! It also reminds me of Full House all the time. Full House’s and Boy Meets World’s wdw episodes play in my head rent free whenever I’m in the parks anyway though lol

Loved the Grand Floridian lobby area. The egg artists are amazing. I’m with you too, the mention of the Sherman Brothers and Walt’s favorite song story make my eyes leak also. Such a beautiful memory ❤

The room you were in is a “Resort Studio”. It is very similar to regular hotel room. The “Deluxe Studio” in the DVC building is a little different. It has one QS bed, a QS Murphy bed and a single pull down bed. It also has an extra shower.

It is DVC. It is a resort studio. They converted Big Pine Key to DVC.

The Grand has always been at the top of my list of places I’d like to stay and I blame/credit that Full House episode for that 😅

Love love love all Mammoth Club videos. I love all the knowledge they have about everything Disney. The Easter eggs are absolutely stunning, Disney bakers and decorators are so talented. Molly is as beautiful as ever.

Last visit, I took a little nap sitting on one of the couches and the pianist started his set with Colors of the Wind and that was such a magical way to wake up from a nap 🥹

I feel you on al the full house references! I used to sing the uncle Jesse version of forever all the time around my house as a kid annoying the rest of my family hehe 😁.

I absolutely loved these rooms. We stayed here over marathon weekend this year and I cannot believe how nice they are! So luxurious.

Can't wait to stay here next month! Loved the tour and Old Key West behavior, lol. Alan pondering and vibing is hilarious. I love the color scheme, it's so gorgeous in here, they did such an amazing job renovating these rooms from that dated dreary Victoriana look to something brighter, modern but still luxurious.

My group and I had dinner at Citrico’s after taking a break at the MK and going back after. I would definitely recommend dressing nice but they were seemingly fine with me wearing black leggings and a logo free long sleeve shirt and others in my group wearing denim and shirts. David was our server and he was excellent! The salad with goat cheese and balsamic strawberries was freaking amazing and the beef short rib was just as good. David paired it with a great wine for me. Would absolutely recommend Citrico’s if anyone is looking for a slightly more upscale experience with great service and quality food. So happy you featured it!

Oh I was so happy to see this video! 😊. My very first trip to WDW I was fortunate to stay at the Grand when I was a travel agent. I stayed at some very nice hotels while I was a travel agent (The Broadmore in CO Springs) and by far, the Grand Floridian will always be my #1 favorite hotel. This our go to hotel for our WDW stays. Love the location, convenience to Magic Kingdom and, the dining options. Also miss the GF Band.

I agree with you about the Grand Floridian Band sadly being gone. I have a cd of their most-played songs, bought back in the 90s. I also miss the Grand Floridian Tea (with champagne option), as my friend, her daughter and I celebrated there back in 2000---such a lovely way to add to a vacation from bustling New York. Thank you for pointing out these much-needed perks, as they were the reason that the GF was the flagship of Walt Disney World resorts.

I love the DVC resort studios and actually prefer them to the regular villas! They are beautifully done. I’ve stayed in them five times now and never had anything but perfection!

Hi from the uk here.some info on the hot cross bun. You can buy the standard bun all year round here but at Easter they are everywhere with loads of varieties including chocolate ones to buns with cheese in them. Cut in half,toast them and cover in butter OMG🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 the cross on top signifies the story of Christ which is why their mostly an Easter thing. Love the show,just read about a drone show at springs soon. Can’t wait for my trip in August x

Always wanted to stay here since our 1st visit to disney world in May 1997. Finally stayed here for 2 nights for my 60th birthday in march 2023 & it didnt disappoint, an absolutely beautiful hotel & rooms.

Omg! I was watching a cooking show for Easter and they were making hot cross buns! Never heard of them until yesterday and here Molly and Alan are eating one lol

I went with my Dad (70) and my niece (21) and they absolutely loved this resort. We resort hopped but I made a special reservation to get that DELECTABLE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES on our Magic Kingdom day, and it was TO DIE FOR! My family enjoyed a late brunch after, like you said, rope dropping. Then we just walked around the stores a little bit after eating before returning to MK. It's stunning

I was excited to see this. We are doing a family vacay in June with our college kiddos. We have a Disney rookie with us as well so we picked GF for our stay. Very excited.

the whole time we were watching. we as in my 2 kids (7&5), hubby and I. Our kids kept saying, "okay but after this we HAVE to watch Mary Poppins!" Such a great tour and fun facts, those penguins on the lamps made me so happy. Plus whenever I see yall eating makes me want a bite so bad. lol anywho, thank you for this video.

Love these room in the “Resort Studio” category! . They also have deluxe studios in the villas that include a kitchenette.

Thank you, thank you for staying here and reviewing it for us. The Grand has been a huge bucket list item for me since I was a little girl growing up watching Samantha Brown go there on the Travel Channel. Hoping to get there within the next couple of year!

We stayed at the GF once years ago and loved it. The tea was a must for me every single trip and I still hold out hopes they will reopen. Sadly, every time I look at DVC rentals they don't have anything available for my time frame but that is usually because I have a specific week I'm going to be there. I've seen openings if I could be a tad more flexible.

When I was there in the early 90s, Mary Poppins was really a large part of the filming at the grand Floridian.

Had a lovely conversation with the pianist when we stayed at The Grand for our 20th anniversary. His name is Jim and he's been at The Grand for 6 years but before that played other places in WDW. His mom taught him to play piano when he was 5. He was such a lovely man. He played me our song as well. ❤❤

Hot Cross buns are huge here in Australia. I think you'd like it a lot more if you ate it hot. Either in the oven or toasted. Then you slather them with butter. 🤤
