AKL Value rooms are smaller than the normal studios. They are only available at Jambo, but do sleep 4. It is generally where we try and book x

Thank you for this! I have never really understood DVC beyond the very basics and you have explained it so clearly. I rented DVC points via David’s last summer (to treat ourselves to a night at Beach Club Villas) and it was SO easy. They make both parties sign a legally binding contract so there’s very little risk, and you also get a reference number almost straight away so you can link the booking on My Disney Experience. Would love to own DVC one day 🤩

Personally I have used The DVC store to book a one off trip to old key west and it was cheaper than staying at Pop Century so it can be a very cost effective way. You just have to keep checking. Also there was another mirror in old key west, it’s on the back of the bathroom door 😂

The DVC team has gotten slightly more sales-y over time, but they do not keep calling you or hounding you if you ask about them. Since you can sell back to Disney at least, there's really not a ton of risk buying. Adventures by Disney is their group travel company that is the best! We've used our points for cruises and Adventures by Disney, easy to do. Definitely get waitlisted for where you want and book home at 11 months. We own at Bay Lake and Animal Kingdom Lodge. Also, try going on a DVC member's cruise. Lots of special entertainment, lectures, exhibits from the Disney archives and performers. We've stayed with two big family trips at Bay Lake and Animal Kingdom grand villas. They are phenomenal.

So great to have these videos back, and this is SOOO great at explaining DVC which I’ve never understood before. One question I did have, do the points pay for the room or for the guest? So would it cost the same amount of points for a 10 day stay somewhere just by yourself as it would 10 days with you and someone else if it’s in the same room? Hope that makes sense! Thanks so much and hope the move and new home is going great!

The points are for the room so you can have as many people in there as you want up to the maximum occupancy 👍🏻

How weird, me and my partner were literally talking about DVC earlier and how we'd like it explained to us😂

Just wondering if when purchasing if it matters how many will stay in that ‘room’ so for example I am part of a family of 4, so does make a difference to choosing opposed to being a single owner of points.

Yes you do 👍🏻 Always just check with them before signing anything so they can tell you for certain as things do change sometimes

It seems unfair for resell customers to pay member's dues, if they don't get the full benefits of being a MEMEBER.

I just watched KZread DVC Fan and they said that you can use your points at Universal now but I’d watch their last vlog to see how. Sounds like you rent out your points for Universal rooms thru these dvc rentals. Probably a lot of DVC people wanting to stay at Universal so they figured out how to do it.

You can by as low as 50 still but you don’t get a blue card. I bought 50 on my 50th birthday this way.
