Cinderella making her appearance in the short on the same floor as Walt’s portrait is also symbolic cuz Walt’s favorite piece of animation was Cinderella’s dress transformation sequence plus her movie helped saved the company from bankruptcy as well. Also to add to it they used her original silver dress color from the 1950 movie as opposed to the blue color they market her in. There was just so much symbolism directed at Walt within that short minute of the short between Mickey and Cinderella.

Ok but can we take a moment to appreciate how even the "boxoffice flops" and short characters got a cameo? I so not expected the headless rider from the sleepy hollow short to have a cameo of the crew from Bolt and Oliver and Company. They could've easily scrapped those and I assume most wouldn't have noticed them missing. This really feels like something someone put heart and love into be it just that little cameos of the very old and older characters like Bambi, Pooh, Mickey and his friends and so on. I mean the included even Oswald? just love it 10/10

Finally it’s worth mentioning that for the CG characters from _DINOSAUR, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons,_ and _Bolt_ which came out before _Tangled_ CG animators had to rebuild the character models from scratch due to updates made to animation technology made over the years, with rigging and rendering being reworked so that they could be used with modern technology. If you look at Rhino and Mittens in _Once Upon a Studio_ to their appearances from the original _Bolt_ film released 15 years ago, it’s complete night and day as Mittens has her whiskers noticeable and Rhino has updated fur (same with Mittens and Bolt). But this short proves Disney can totally still make 2D animation if it wants to, and I really wish it could come back. It's a song that always makes me cry, even more so after I watched "Saving Mr Banks." The bit where it plays over Walt's photo is actually a new recording done of Richard Sherman playing it on the same piano from Walt's office, where he used to play it for him, which was made specifically for the short. The execs could do with listening to that and looking at the man every now and again, because, besides business, that's what it's about...creating family magic and memories. "Feed the birds, tuppence a bag... All around the cathedral, the saints and apostles look down as she sells her wares. Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling, each time someone shows that he cares." Kindness doesn't cost much, nor is feeding pigeons with your children a waste of money.

Beyond that, I love how they included characters from practically every Disney Animated Canon movie, including obscure ones like the package films, both "Rescuers" films, and "Meet the Robinsons." @@whyiamafs Package films are movies that feature a collection of shorts to create a single film. "Three Caballeros" and "Melody Time" for instance were made this way when Disney was dealing with the effects of WW2. The company needed to save on costs in animation, and had to shelve other feature films after others like "Fantasia" and "Bambi" bombed at the box office, so these package films helped keep the company afloat for some time.

Second I blame Michael Eisner for the majority of Roger’s disappearance, Roger Rabbit is a joint effort between Disney and Amblin Entertainment. So in short, Disney owns the movie rights and half of the character, while Spielberg owns the other half and has the final word on everything.

It’s kind of nice that people seemed to put that aside for a moment to appreciate this look back on probably the most important entertainment studio ever. That in no way feels like they’re trying to sell you a product like other products this year that use similar tactics of bringing back icons from your childhood. This genuinely feels like a celebration of a studio with a lot of history behind it.

Man, After all this years they still look so good, i really Wish Disney kept making 2d animation like before instead of brutally destroying their own masterpieces making politically correct live actions! Bring the old Disney back!😢

I saw this just yesterday night it was an EXPLOSION of disney nostalgia for me, but it really got to me when Mickey was looking at Walt Disney’s picture who started this all i nearly made me emotional, cause without him i don’t know where Disney would be without theses ICONIC characters today. Also i know there were ALOT of characters but you missed only a few like Camille from Encanto, Lady Tremaine, Bruno behind Pancho. But i didn’t expect to see Asha there with all the other disney characters yet because her movie Hasn’t come out yet, so i was surprised she was in this, although she will apart of the assemble of disney characters to come so it kinda make sense.

As someone who mostly grew up with what was mostly considered Disney's "Dark Age" films of the early-mid 2000s, it was so wonderful to see Disney acknowledge characters from Dinosaur, Brother Bear, Home on the Range, Chicken Little, and Meet the Robinsons, probably their worst/most forgettable films that I still vividly remember watching as a kid/pre-teen. I knew big characters from their more acclaimed films would be there for sure, but seeing Disney still celebrate their misfires of that era was sort of heartwarming, as the animators who made them still deserve the love.

I couldn't help but to smile throughout this short. Particularly, the animated 2-D characters be with 3-D pixar animated characters. This was definitely giving "House of Mouse" vibes. They definitely need to make that happen again. It was good seeing Kuzco, Jafar, Tarzan, Jane, Mulan, Maleficent, Peter Pan, Scar, Genie, Pocahontas, clawhauser, Jasmine, Belle, Beast, hades, judy hops, Nick, Tiana, meg, aladar, mushu, Raya, elsa and anna. Was hoping to see roger rabbit and Jessica rabbit tho. But they need make house of mouse asap!!!!!!!!!!!
