Disney, the cartoon company that makes kid-friendly films. They also made some more mature titles. Of course to not sully their brand, they made a shell company and hid their name while they did it.
Today, we’re talking about one of the M-Rated games they made. Turok.
The story of Turok starts in the 1950’s. It was a comic book. Then fourty years later. Acclaim Studios made a Turok game. It was the first FPS game on the nintendo 64. And a few years later, they went bankrupt.
Disney came over and picked apart the corpse of Acclaim and took Turok.
This Turok, is retrospectively called Turok 2008. Because it came out in 2008. It’s a reboot to the series. So this game has nothing to do with the 5 Turok games already made. Let’s get into it.

I remember when I tried to beat this game with just a knife, turok 2008 is a classic 😂
Logan looks like a lower resolution elite Thatcher skin from rainbow six siege. Once you read this you won't be able to not see it

I actually liked Turok 2008 despite its flaws. Shame we didn't get that sequel as it sounded awesome. Hoping Nightdive Studios will eventually remaster Turok 2008 and Turok Evolution, also a reboot btw.

Sadly I don't see Nightdive remasters either of the games. Maybe Evolution but not any time soon. I mostly would like to see a steam release just so people can play. Even if they aren't as polished as Nightdive's remasters.

@noseoss, If we can get remasters for random 3DO games that didn't even sell well? We can one day get these games remastered. Do you really wanna live in a world where a game like freakin Plumbers Don't Wear Ties get rereleased, but not actual good games like Turok 2008 or AVP2? I can't believe that one got remastered...

@@Gruntvc Of course not. But I don't think we will see a remaster anytime soon. I predict at least 2028 we will see a remaster. But not from Nightdive. If we look at NDS, I'm fairly certain the most modern game they had released was from 2001. (correct me if wrong). I don't see them remasters a game from Unreal Engine 3.

@noseoss, The Thing game is the 1st true 6th gen game Nightdive Studios has remastered. So, ya never know. Lots of 7th gen games, including Turok 2008, are still stuck on older consoles. And with Xbox shutting down the Xbox 360 digital storefront. There might be more of a demand for 7th gen rereleases. There's a rumor Saber Interactive might be making a new Turok. Though it doesn't say if it is a reboot, remake, or sequel.

@@Gruntvc I don't believe that rumor. I think Saber has too much on their plate already. But, all we can do is wait and see. :(
