@@ocinidolegna In the very beginning, yes. But they changed that pretty early, from my guesses. So the story was more of two sisters, and a prophecy. Then the song Let it go was made - and the filmmaker changed the whole theme. Which I find very sad! Since I can tell they rushed with the plot in Frozen (the one we now have today).

@@BioLivbanon Actually from what I've heard, Elsa was still villainous until the studio's work on the song _Let It Go_ resulted in them realising what they truly wanted for Elsa's character. The film had previously been in "development hell", but when they finally resumed working on it again in the 2010s, Elsa remained the villain of the story, intentionally kidnapping Anna from her wedding, freezing her heart, and descending upon the kingdom with an army of snowmen to stop Anna from kissing Hans and thawing her heart. Although even by this draft, they intended for Elsa to be a sympathetic villain and wanted it to be sisterly love, not romantic love, that saved the day.

i love and hate watching deleted scenes. love them because its cool to see the other ideas. hate them because they should've kept them whenever i watch them

Its really pig and pie... She was chasing a pig then bumped into the table full of pies

I'm torn on this scene. On the one hand, the film did a great job of showing just how much seperation there's been between the two, as shown by their reserved nature around each other during the coronation. On the other hand, I really do love these sorts of moments, and it seems very natural to the characters, so including it wouldn't have been a bad thing at all.

MingDynasty700 Well I could see that being a thing. After all, Elsa was scared of hurting anyone, especially Anna, so she would have made it a point to avoid everyone for all those years. Plus you really needed to understand the depth of their estrangement to make the rest of the drama that much more potent. Was it really sad? Yes. But it needed to be.

***** It might be good for a sequel, Elsa threw away her crown so they might need a new crown and possibly a new coronation to keep up tradition. As for the ice breaking that vase, I don't think I've seen Elsa break anything when it was just completely frozen, so I guess her powers could get even stronger.

PERFECTION YESSS PERFECTION

This may be the single best illustration of "murder your darlings" I have ever seen. It's adorable, it's funny, it's charming as all hell... and it has absolutely no place in Frozen. The emotional weight of Elsa's AND Anna's arcs relies on them having barely exchanged five words in the years since their parents' death, maybe even before, right up to the party after the coronation. That relationship, and the strain it's been placed under by 13 years of unshared history, is crucial to the entire course of the movie. Elsa's secret just doesn't carry the same oomph without the estrangement. So, great scene, guys! And good call cutting it!

That purple and gold dress would have my favorite if it had been in the film.

Honestly, I hope they don't make a sequel. The film was perfect and said all it needed to. I'd much rather see Disney crafting an entirely new story, rather than re-treading old ground (regardless of how good that ground is). Their last several films have been great and Big Hero 6 will probably follow that streak.

BallisticMedicine I agree, I love Frozen and that's exactly why I don't want a second movie - the story is perfect as it is. But if Disney does insist on a sequel then I wouldn't object to 15 min shorts, like they do for Toy Story. That way they could keep the Frozen universe "alive" without compromising the main story or ruining its characters.

I'm glad they took it out. I like the scene but the creators were going for that isolation feeling between them. It would undo some of the lonely/painful sadness build up that had been going on if they kept it.

***** I'd say toned down, slightly altered version, where the interaction is somewhat colder, Ana is in her room without permission, Elsa lets her stay and goof around for a bit, but it ends with Elsa asking Ana to leave her room, and then repeating her question in an urgent tone, saying she needs to hurry and dress because she's busy. Ana nods blank faced, leaves the room, but is shown upon her exit that it hurt her to be chased out (probably) yet again.

they should use that scene if theres going to be a second frozen

MissJrCupcake I wouldn't mind *if* they made it good. Lion King 2 level *at the very least*. Or they could pull a Rescuers Down Under. Rescuers Down Under is the *only* Disney sequel I've ever seen that was actually better than the original, in my opinion at least. It was also severely underrated, in my opinion, but that's beside the point. Can't see how they would pull that off with Frozen, admittedly, but if they could somehow top it, that would be *amazing*. Long story short, if they make a sequel, it better be frickin' amazing. And if they do, this scene, or one like it, would be great to see.

Shealyn watts Yeah, me too. Another sequel. Technically we already have one that they call Lion King 3, but I think they should have stuck with the original name (Lion King 1 1/2). It tells the first movie from Timon and Pumbaa's perspective. I liked that okay, but another sequel would be great.

And now we know what they would've been like if they were never separated the way they were and it's really cute.

I know everyone including me would loved to see this scene in the movie, but Im glad they took it away because it doesn't fit the movie. ¿Why? 1.- The movie showed us the separation of anna and elsa and how elsa shuted out anna most of the time, in this scene they seem to have a good "sistership" like in the end of the movie. 2.- Elsa looks more like Anna's mom, not her sister.

Omg this scene is the cutest! :D Of course I'd have loved to see it but it definitely was the right decision to take it out. Would have destroyed this whole icy separation feeling you get by watching the beginning of the movie before they "first meet" during the coronation. But lovely scene :)

You're absolutely right! This scene is fantastic, but I'm glad they didn't put it into the movie.

I like how the deleted scenes give Elsa more personality than both movies could wish for

Fun fact: The movie was voice acted first then animated. So we hear perfect voice acting, but only 1 frame animations.

This movie should have been longer

"I can barely fit through the doorway." Anyone else thought of the wardrobe in the Beauty and Beast theatrical song "Human Again"? "Why, I'll even fit through that door!!" when she's referring to how she'll be slimmer if she's a human again. XD

They should make Frozen 2 and try to make this scene again without the coronation day about to happen mentioned. Still Disney if u see this me and everybody else wants a sequel because the movie is so great and it would be nice to see how people get use to Elsa's power like if they like it or want to kill her and how Anna and her are doing good together after years of being shut out. It would see more character development and a great way to see changes in characters. It is a good idea since this movie was a success.

Why didn't they put it in the end or the second movie?! It is perfect

Hahaha!! This is so funny! I wanna see a full short with the "Halt, You Swine!" combined with this and fully animated, greatest short ever XD

I love this deleted scene. I mean, Anna is just awesome and full of life, she's adorable xD However, their relation is way too relaxed to me, it's like nothing happened. But, this scene would be perfect in a sequel :)

mind my onion but i kinda wanna see this movie more?? idk i relate more to tje concept of interacting with people/siblings/whatever but they still fundementally dont know the real you? like you're civil and even have fun sometimes but you're still hiding something and it stops you from interacting with people 100% genuinely? like. bc ur afraid of hurting them or ur afraid of what theyd think if they really saw u for u you are. idk i just feel like more people would relate to that

This HAS to become a short clip taking place after they've reunited! Elsa and Anna together are just so enjoyable and heartwarming.

it was gonna be stupid to add this scene because the whole deal with Elsa is that she shut her sister out and never interacts with people so it would be unnatural if they actually talked to each other normally

No, no, this scene was designed before that concept existed. The scene was cut after they decided upon Elsa shutting people out. Not the other way around.

Yeah this should be like one yours sequel shorts, or in a full blown sequel showing how they are getting a long after their first adventure.

This is making want an alternate version of Frozen where they actually continue to be close after the ice-head incident, just with Elsa being secretive about her powers. It could result in an interesting scenario where Anna suddenly realises that Elsa had been lying to her this whole time, which on its own could cause a huge split in their relationship
